The Commercial Claims Coordinator is responsible for daily interactions with internal and external customers regarding potential product issues or questions. This position reports directly to the Sr. Claims Manager. The Commercial Claims Coordinator will ensure effective coordination between the Company and its customers with a high level of service and support. They must maintain positive business relationships, both internally and externally, to promote company goals. The position serves as the point of contact for filing manufacturing claims, the analysis of those claims for accuracy, completeness and eligibility, along with facilitating the resolution of claims to the customers' satisfaction. The position is responsible for the end to end claims processing, working to enter, investigate and close claims within the established claims processing guidelines.
Responsibilities
Resolve customer inquiries, including but not limited to; order status, product information, order processing, account status, sales programs, as well as product line knowledge.
Maintain small to medium accounts with low to medium complexity.
Process all customer orders received by EDI, telephone, fax, email and mail through order entry system (SAP) efficiently and error free.
Pull reports from the CRM and SAP Systems and share to a variety of internal and external customers including distributors, sales and business management.
Review delivery due list for all customer orders in all plants to align with delivery requests.
Collaborate with cross functional team members.
Answer customer inquiries via fax, phone, email and mail.
Check stock and provide availability dates to customers.
Provide freight quotes once processed through the Logistics Department.
Ship samples as required by customers for product specials.
Locate out-of-stock material for customers, when required, from other distributors.
Other duties as assigned.
Desired skills and experience
High school diploma required, AA or BA degree, preferred.
Minimum of three years of customer contact experience.
Working knowledge of computers / AS400 and SAP system, as well as CRM and Microsoft Office platform (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Proven, accurate data entry skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional departments with a positive attitude
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions and software manuals.
Ability to portray a positive image when dealing with difficult customer claims.
Ability to manage multiple accounts/tasks at any given time.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.

Optimize PowerBI reports for performance and scalability, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and easily interpretable.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline required.
3-5 years in manufacturing, with hands-on experience in roles like process engineering, production supervision, or continuous improvement.

2+ years of hands-on experience with PowerBI development and creating dashboards/report required.
Familiarity with data extraction and integration between SAP and third-party tools (e.g., PowerBI, SQL, Excel).

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
Collaborate with the VP Finance to identify and implement growth and profitability strategies, ensuring plants achieve maximum cost savings and operational efficiency.
Serve as a key business partner to the Sr. Directors of Operations at Dalton Campus, providing comprehensive plant/business analysis, performance insights, and key success metrics.
Drive analyses around operational effectiveness, business performance, and productivity action plans (PAP) to identify opportunities for improvement.
Act as a strategic business partner to drive continuous improvement and enhance business results.
Assume overall leadership of the day-to-day finance and accounting operations for the plants, including financial reporting, planning and analysis, internal controls, budgeting/forecasting, audit execution, compliance, and fixed asset control.
Manage the plant finance and accounting team and take a proactive role in talent acquisition, career development, and retention.
Direct preparation of capital expenditure requests and accounting of related investments.
Month-end closing responsibilities, including reporting and reviewing departmental and industrial variances to prior year and budget.
Maintain standard costs for all raw materials, WIP and finished goods processes.
Preparing detailed monthly forecasts for the full year based upon the production drivers and key performance metrics at the plant
Annually reviewing and auditing of internal control procedures (TRACE)
Preparing and developing the annual plant budget, including developing cost standards and updating the standards (material, labor, OPC) in SAP.
Leading the coordination of all plant internal and external financial and operational audits and addressing any audit findings with plant and divisional leadership
Oversee physical inventory/cycle counting
What you need to succeed in this position:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred
10 years of related finance/accounting experience
5 years of experience as Plant or Business Unit Controller in product manufacturing
Demonstrated ability to link and analyze plant operational metrics to financial performance

What You'll Do:
Prepare and stamp civil design/construction plans, including notes, details, plan and profile sheets, and cross-sections.
Create and submit project permitting packages to regulatory authorities.
Develop construction cost estimates for budgeting and financial planning.
Perform water, sewer, and stormwater design calculations for athletic facility development.
Prepare technical reports, memos, and exhibits to support project documentation.
Conduct research and select technical reference data for project specifications.
Support the sales team with concept designs and sales meetings with clients.
Highly communicative role-must be comfortable interacting with jurisdictions, peers, clients, and supervisors to ensure project success.
Ensure compliance with company safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and quality standards.
Collaborate with installation crews, subcontractors, and sales teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
Review and approve subcontractor invoices and assist project managers in billing, design, and engineering tasks.
Oversee project closeout, including Certificates of Completion, As-Builts, and final checklists.
Provide subject matter expertise to sales and customers to secure contracts.
Experience & Education Desired:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred, with ability for licensure reciprocity in neighboring jurisdictions.
Experience in civil site design, including site grading, layout, drainage, water, sewer, earthwork, and sediment control preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for drafting and design.
Strong multitasking and crisis management skills, including handling customer service demands, construction RFIs, and installation challenges.
Experience with bidding and estimating processes, ensuring proper budget allocation and project scope completion.
Ability to track projects and maintain communication with project teams, customers, and sales throughout execution.
Knowledge of material compliance and subcontractor coordination, including visiting regional aggregate quarries and civil partners.

Travel Requirements:
Travels, when necessary, by several modes of transportation
Region: Home Office (preferably) based in the Southeastern region of United States
