Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a motivated individual to contribute to our environmental services division and provide project coordination, technical editing, document formatting and production, and administrative assistance for our Reno, Nevada office. The successful candidate will edit, proofread, and format documents such as technical reports, publications, proposals, and correspondence for internal/external distribution, client and agency deliverables, or publication. The candidate will also assist with project coordination by completing administrative tasks and other business-related duties.

Your Key Responsibilities
Provide project coordination, including taking meeting minutes, compiling administrative records, and completing other tasks as assigned by project managers. Edit reports, publications, proposals, and correspondence to ensure clarity of content, consistency of format, and accuracy of grammar. Edit technical documents including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) studies and reports, biological reports, cultural resources reports, and permit applications, among others. Follow established naming convention and branding guidelines, and review for clarity and consistency. Assist with the preparation of proposals and other business development work products, such as memos, fact sheets, PowerPoints, and emails. Provide technical editing support to project managers; ensure consistency of work products across clients and programs. Responsible for quality control, production, and distribution of documents in accordance with schedules. Prepare and help deliver documents to clients and regulatory agencies. Assist with administrative duties such as ordering equipment, invoicing, electronic file storage, vehicle maintenance, etc. Support internal clients including Project Managers.


Your Capabilities and Credentials
Technical editing experience including editing and formatting large reports and NEPA documents. Excellent written communication skills; working knowledge and proficiency with word-processing and integrated software applications including Microsoft Suite and Adobe. Organization skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Ability to work independently and with others. Ability to multi-task, prioritize efficiently, and work in a fast-paced environment.


Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and administrative related experience in a professional setting.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
