Job Summary
This is a full-time permanent position under the supervision of the assigned Custodial Supervisor. The Ground Worker 2 is responsible for maintaining grounds, streets and walks at assigned campus, and related work as required.
Incumbent is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community campus/center as assigned. May be required to provide services outside of normal work hours and week. This position may be contacted during non-duty hours.
Job Duties
Adhere to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone.
Cleans all exterior glass, including windows and door glass.
Removes all trash from assigned areas by collecting trash from various trash containers and receptacles and transporting the trash to designated outside trash dumpsters.
Uses cleaning chemicals properly and safely.
Assists in preventing accidents resulting from snow or ice covered walkways by shoveling or sweeping snow or ice from sidewalks and entrances and spreading ice melt.
Remove fallen tree limbs, small trees, and report large trees to supervisor.
Clear storm drains of trash, leaves and over grown plants.
Inspect fences for repairs and or replacement.
Clean roof tops and roof drains.
Keep leaves and trash from building entrances and exits.
Report vandalism, illegal postings, damage to site features, and trash or recycle issues to the Campus Supervisor.
Assist with event set-up and break downs.
Remove all exterior spider webs.
Responds to emergency situations that may cause property damage, personal injury, or both by following prescribed procedures.
Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely.
Reports safety hazards as appropriate.
Reliable and able to work overtime and weekends.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Successful completion of eighth grade.
Valid motor vehicle driver's license.
Possess or have the ability to obtain a valid forklift license.
Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to interact in an ever-growing community and able to adapt to changing situations.
Must be able to utilize e-mail systems such as Outlook 365.

Job Summary
This is a full-time, grant-funded position working under direct supervision of the Police Supervisor (Captain) and general supervision of the Associate Director of Public Safety. This position is designated to work at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology locations within Memphis.
The Police Officer 1 investigates crimes and accidents, protecting faculty, staff, students, visitors, and property, facilities by law enforcement. He/she responds to calls for assistance including emergency crisis situations and provides other safety related services. He/she must be flexible to work different shifts if and when deemed necessary.
Job Duties
Assures building security, traffic control, parking lot management, and patrol readiness for crime and hazards.
Patrols the campus/specific area by foot, bicycle, or motor vehicle/motorized conveyance.
Issues citations for traffic and parking violations.
Responds to radio and telephone calls; electronic alarms such as fire alarm, personal injuries and crime in progress.
Investigates suspected crimes, report findings, and arrests suspected individuals.

Minimum Qualifications
Meets the requirements of a Certified Police Officer, per TCA 38-8-107, including completion or attendance and completion within one year following employment, of a law enforcement academy curriculum approved by the Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission (P.O.S.T).
Meets the requirements of TCA 38-8-106, Qualifications of Police Officers:
Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
High school graduate or possess equivalency
Not have been convicted of ANY felonies
Not have been released/discharged under any other circumstance than honorable discharge from any of the armed forces of the United States
Have their fingerprints on file with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation
Must have passed a physical examination by a licensed physician
Must have passed police academy requirement, and psychological examinations
Must possess a valid Tennessee driver's license
Have a good moral character as determined by a thorough investigation conducted by Department of Police/Public Safety
Must be flexible to work different shifts if and when deemed necessary.

This is a part-time student position funded by Title III IDEAS Grant. Peer mentors/coaches are integrated into advising center or other campus offices, to assist professional advisors or student success coaches and faculty/staff with supporting students at Southwest.
Mentors might handle referrals to campus resources, study skills coaching, or pre-registration education, which frees up professional coaches and advisors to focus on complex advising cases. Peer mentors may be “on call” for a set number of hours each week, to handle referred and walk-in students. Or, programs may require peer mentors to hold several meetings each term with students, either one-on-one or in groups.

Job Duties
Reports to the Dean of Students and ensures that all intervention programs align with institutional retention and completion goals.
Provides leadership for the Office of Student Success, overseeing all student intervention programs.
Supervises all professional staff, including the Assistant Director, Navigators, Success Coaches, Reentry Coaches, and the Early Alert Manager.
Assigns caseloads to intervention specialists to ensure targeted student support.
Oversees budget planning and resource allocation for intervention programs.

Leads faculty engagement efforts related to early alert submission, intervention strategies, and student support initiatives.

Serves as a member of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) implementation team, ensuring OAI's alignment with institutional student success initiatives.
Partners with Financial Aid to coordinate FAFSA completion efforts and Federal Work-Study funding for Peer Mentors.
Coordinates with TN Achieves and First Gen Forward Network to enhance student support initiatives for first-time freshmen and vulnerable student populations.

The Medical Lab Technician Adjunct Instructor will provide instruction for the Medical Lab Technician and Phlebotomy programs. The instructor will be responsible for providing students with a complete syllabus containing objectives, resenting enthusiastic, organized and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus as well as labs concurrent with the lectures.
The lecture and labs will be designed to continually promote the development and effective use of the skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, computation, problem solving, and decision-making; providing the student with timely information and feedback on his/her academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects; maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic performance; and possessing a thorough knowledge and understanding of all college policies.

Prepares and delivers instruction on topics in Medical Lab Technology and Phlebotomy.
Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.
Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists in student recruitment and retention; and assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom.
Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.
Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.

Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
Participates in departmental and college committees; and provides outreach service to the community.
May perform other duties as assign by Department Head/Dean.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Funeral Service Education and graduation from an American Board of Funeral Service Education accredited program. Must hold Tennessee Funeral Director and Embalmer licenses.
Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Two (2) years as a professional in Funeral Service, and two (2) years related experience.
Two (2) years of teaching experience.
Use observational, oral, and /or written assessment to direct and enhance learning in a timely manner.
Skill in selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new content.
Use current and emerging technologies and alternative delivery methods to enhance student learning.
Demonstrate commitment to professional development.
Observe college policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
Must provide instruction for all Funeral Service Education (FSED) courses.
A background check will be required for the successful candidate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies to facilitate student-centered learning; experience interacting successfully with an ever-growing student population.
Skill in selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
Ability to integrate technology into course delivery.
Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
Willingness and flexibility to teach classes using various instructional delivery methods at any of the six locations.
