CACI is looking for a Spacecraft Avionics Integration Engineer with experience developing and operating aerospace hardware/software integration labs in support of Artemis Gateway hardware and software requirements verification testing. As a NASA Artemis Gateway Test Facility Integration Engineer, you will be a liaison between facility representatives and various Exploration Labs (XLab) leads: Gateway Software Verification Lab (GSVL), Gateway Ready Avionics Integration Lab (GRAIL), Gateway Power (GPWR), and Gateway Portable Computer / Gateway Support Server (GPC/GSS). You will coordinate testing across XLabs, translate individual lab requirements into facility functionality, buildup the Test Operations Center (TOC) hardware, and establish connectivity to XLabs. Coordinate facility maintenance requirements and facilitate meetings to specify maintenance contractor efforts for each facility upgrade to meet the NASA JSC Gateway Exploration Labs (XLabs) needs.
This position requires a self-starting, capable person with strong verbal and written communication skills. In addition to outstanding technical expertise, the individual must possess strong customer relationship skills, have a positive team-player attitude, and be flexible and willing to take on new assignments and responsibilities as they arise. Finally, the most qualified candidate will be an articulate speaker able to communicate technical ideas in an effective manner, must share our passion for our Nation's Space Program, and share in the excitement of developing the next human-rated space vehicles.

Support simulations and avionics hardware integration both in program and cross program. Support vertical integration with various test hardware providers (e.g., spacecraft emulators) and horizontal integration between the XLabs, managing resources and provisioning the facility to meet lab needs, including data systems. Ensure Interface Requirements Document (IRD)/Interface Control Document (ICD) provide the required data sharing. Manage requirements for facility modifications and work contracts. Work with NASA Receiving, property transfer forms, and removal of excess property. Develop requirements for NASA facility support contractors based on the needs of XLabs.
This work takes place at NASA/JSC in Houston, TX, a highly stimulating and dynamic environment that is critical in human space flight and the space exploration initiative.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident for access to US Government facilities. Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines required. Minimum of 3-5 years of hardware/software test facility development and operation. An engineer with excellent people skills able to facilitate meetings with XLabs leads and test hardware providers. Systems Engineering experience. Excellent communication skills able to translate lab requirements into facility functionality. Must be flexible, open to new challenges in a dynamic environment, and possess strong technical expertise combined with strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision. Must be a highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic. Must have highly developed coordination and organization skills.

Project management skills. Experience in transferring NASA computing or avionics hardware within NASA or with outside partners. Experience with automated electrical power distribution systems in a hardware/software integration lab.
