    Are you ready to shape the promotional strategy that drives viewership across multiple entertainment and news networks? The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Director; Promotion Planning to lead our promotional planning team and maximize audience engagement across our diverse portfolio of networks. You'll be at the forefront of strategic promotion planning, working with cutting-edge technology and cross-functional teams to ensure our content reaches and resonates with audiences across all platforms. WHAT YOU'LL DO: • Provide strategic and tactical direction for a team of promotion planners, including managerial roles, who are responsible for scheduling on-air promotions appearing on our network's cable/satellite, over-the-air and over-the-top (OTT) streaming channels as well as PSAs, on-screen promotional graphics and sponsored elements • Constitute and ensure implementation of best practices for on-air promo and on-screen graphics planning and scheduling across all networks • Work with managers on your team to ensure that the planning needs for each network are met and workloads for managers and individual planners are balanced • Work closely with leadership across marketing, programming, research, sales operations, broadcast operations, and digital departments to ensure alignment of processes and priorities • Participate in strategic planning meetings and facilitate multifunctional project teams for on-air promotion tied to stunts and high-profile programming • Work closely with the research to incorporate ratings and other viewership data into the on-air scheduling strategy and assess the impact of promotion campaigns • Lead discussions with marketing leadership, creative and research to identify areas for promo scheduling optimization and develop testing recommendations where feasible • Advise on process improvements for promo inventory management and workflow • Serve as the administrator and main point of contact for promo and graphics scheduling software WHAT YOU'LL NEED: • BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred • Generally, 10+ years of experience in related field preferred • Prior managerial experience preferred WHAT YOU'LL BRING: • Skilled at managing, motivating, and developing a team of managers who in turn manage their own direct reports • Proven ability to skillfully manage multiple projects at a time • Highly organized and flexible with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities • Orientation to tracking and measuring the impact from your efforts • Skilled at recognizing and implementing process improvements • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as ability to lead internal presentations • Ability to cultivate relationships with employees across departments and functional areas WHERE YOU'LL LIVE, WORK AND PLAY: Atlanta is a vibrant metropolis that perfectly blends Southern charm with big-city sophistication.
