The Bus Driver will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, courteous and efficient transportation service for our program participants. The Community Nutrition Program Director will help manage the YMCA of Southwest Florida's regional efforts to reduce food insecurity, expand nutrition education, and increase access to healthy foods across rural and underserved communities. This position assists in the oversite of food access initiatives funded under the Florida Blue Foundation Food Security and Y-USA grants, including community outreach events, nutrition workshops, Mobile Markets, pantry operations, education resources, and partnerships with regional food banks. This role will support staff hiring/training, and administration of USDA food security evaluations. This role will work with the Nutrition team to ensure the YMCA's strategies align with grant milestone activities, annual output targets, and outcome measures. The Program Director helps ensure compliance with evidence-based nutrition practices, provides oversight in developing and providing new staff for nutrition education, coordinates food distribution expansion, provides insight and helps develop website resource tools, and monitors program impact to guide efforts to ensure target outcomes are achieved annually through 2029. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Staff is expected to act professionally and dress according to the requirements. * All Staff should arrive promptly for their shift. * Opening personnel must arrive with adequate time prepare facility for opening. * Follow the format of the class type and description to be taught. * The exercise instructors shall agree to be ready for class to start on time, finish on time and shall agree to schedule his/her time for set up and take down necessary for efficient class performance * Ensure that classes are safe and within industry standards and guidelines. * Exercise instructors are responsible for their own music and agree to use music suitable for a family setting. * Become familiar with class participants; learn names, their health concerns and their physical limitations. * Maintain constant supervision of participants during class. * Direct all maintenance concerns to the Executive/Wellness/Program Director immediately. * Ensure all participants wear appropriate footwear * Make sure all equipment is put away correctly following your shift. * Instructors are expected to find their own substitutes if they are not work their scheduled shift and communicate the substitute to the supervisor in a timely manner. * Attend regularly scheduled, mandatory staff meetings. * Utilize time clock and monitor timesheet. Under the direction of the Aquatics Coordinator/Director and in accordance with the policies of the YMCA of Southwest Florida, the lifeguard will be responsible for the ensuring the safety of all participants in or around the YMCA pool. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Completes related reports as required. * Maintains constant surveillance of the pool area. * Maintains effective, positive relationships with the members, participants and other staff. * Displays professional appearance at all times and dresses according to requirements (approved swimsuit, jacket, and shirt). * Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area. Under the direction of the Executive/Wellness/Program Director and in accordance with the policies of the YMCA of Southwest Florida, the Wellness Coach will be responsible for the delivery of safe, effective instruction to members of exercise equipment and interaction with all members utilizing the wellness facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Staff is expected to act professionally and dress according to the requirements: uniform shirt, neat shorts or warm-up pants (no spandex), sneakers and YMCA name tag. * All Staff should arrive promptly for their shift. Opening personnel must arrive with adequate time prepare facility for opening. * Welcome and greet all members as they arrive or shortly thereafter. Get to know the member's names, needs and goals. When possible, interact with members. Assist with machine usage, appropriate exercise advice - do not give advice that you are not absolutely SURE is safe and appropriate. * Make sure that first time users are encouraged to go through the orientation process. ALL members must fill out the medical form. If you feel that there is a medical condition that requires further investigation or physician's approval, refer it to the Executive/Wellness/Program Director. * Assist members with their workouts whenever possible. Make sure that they are using machines properly, both cardiovascular and weight training. * Circulate and be visible to members, even when it is slow. * Give facility tours as needed to assist Membership Services Staff * Keep the sign-up sheets neat and orderly, assist members with transitions on and off equipment when it is busy. * Follow cleaning schedule. Refill cleaning bottles as needed. If it is very slow and you are able to continue to circulate, feel free to clean more than your allotted responsibilities! * Be aware of signs that equipment may be in need of maintenance. If the equipment is not functioning properly, place an out of order sign on it and inform the Executive/Wellness/Program Director. . * The Wellness Center phones and computers are not for personal use. Personal Emergency calls are permitted. * Ensure all participants wear appropriate exercise attire and footwear * Monitor proper executions, form and technique when demonstrating exercises * Make sure all equipment is put away correctly following your shift.
