Responsibilities
The Tinner will maintain, operate, repair, build and rebuild plant infrastructure and systems pertaining to. In additon, they will assist all other crafts in the maintenance and construction of plant equipment within the Spirit, Wichita facility. By means of, including, but not limited to painting, carpentry, general labor, plumbing, HVAC/R, pipe fitting, tinning, welding, millwright work, operation of boilers and compressed air systems, operation of waste water systems, operation of process water systems, within the individual's skill set and/or with proper training.
+ Assist in prioritizing and distributing work and providing direction/guidance and technical support to lower level employees as required.
+ Perform duties completely independent of all lower level employees.
+ Enter and retrieve all data necessary to accomplish daily and weekly work assignments from Management and the (CMMS) system and/or process plants data. Coordinate work requests from customers using the facilities trouble call reporting system with management.
+ Research and obtain new technologies and skills pertaining to the construction and building maintenance industry.
+ Research, develop and recommend training to management which may be required to maintain or improve skills of the work force.
+ Assist lower graded employees in learning and applying current and new skill sets needed to accomplish their assignments.
+ Enter and retrieve data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or Process Plants Data, order and requisition parts required to accomplish the assigned tasks (except as relates to inventory, store, record, issue and any other duties related to material support technician.)
+ Communicate and coordinate activity across all shifts with management, customers, engineers, suppliers and any persons or entities necessary to ensure continued operation and timely repair of plant and equipment.
+ Perform root/cause analysis in support of reliability processes, and collaborate with vendors, engineering, team leader, customer, other crafts and management to solve equipment problems that are repetitive and unique across various equipment and systems and develop corrective action(s).
+ Design and calculate, using appropriate regulations and codes, engineering and design specifications, and acquired knowledge, requirements for the performance of assets and systems.
+ Perform duties and responsibilities of lower level descriptions as necessary.
