🔧 What You'll Do:
As a Safety Supervisor, you'll serve as the critical link between field crews and executive leadership, ensuring we don't just meet safety standards, we lead with them:
Enforce corporate and project-specific safety and health programs
Conduct detailed jobsite audits, safety walk-throughs, and risk assessments
Develop and deliver safety training (fall protection, rigging, silica, confined space, GHS, etc.)
Create, maintain, and verify site-specific documentation (AHAs, SDS, permits, etc.)
Perform incident and accident investigations, collect evidence, interview, report, follow up
Collaborate with foremen, PMs, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure compliance
Design advanced safety solutions for lifts, hazardous materials, excavation, and heavy equipment
Track and manage training matrix, inspection forms, and safety schematics
Stay up to date on OSHA, federal, and local regulations, and ensure we're ahead of the curve
Mentor teams and foster a proactive, solution-oriented safety culture
Attend daily briefings, safety stand-downs, and orientations across job sites
Support WC/claims reporting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

Experience & Skills:

* Generate/ review/approve/respond to Purchase Orders (PO's), subcontracts, submittals, Request for Information (RFI's); prices Proposed Change Orders (PCO's) and adjust schedule, etc.
* Review/approve vendor bills and PO's.
* Ensure payroll, labor, equipment and material costs are tracked and that goods and services received are paid for according to terms.
* Ensure inspections and project activities are coordinated with appropriate parties.
* Provide planning and performing reports.
* Leverage technology to track performance.
* With approval from Sr. PM on course of action for large-value or complex items, will manage multiple working relationships, acts as company representative, communicates with owners, engineers, design professionals, interfaces with actual and prospective clients, local officials, government representatives, subcontractors, vendors, line employees and senior management.
* Manage compliance with local and government agencies, laws, contract specs, and adherence to TCC policies and procedures.
* Identify engineering problems on the job and ensure the issues are immediately communicated to the appropriate SME for resolution.
Educational / Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from 4 year college, U.S. or Equivalent Foreign Degree.
* Two (2) years experience as a Project or Field Engineer or Assistant Project Manager or in related occupation in heavy civil construction involving multi-million dollar projects (experience not required as Project Manager).
Job Requirements:
* Travel to local job sites 2 - 3 times / week in DC, MD, VA. Must drive own vehicle to travel to local job sites in DC, MD, VA.
* Strong financial skills. Understands drivers of project cost (labor, material, equipment, overhead, etc.); various billing methods; know how to maintain positive cash flow and perform Cost-to-Complete projections.
* Strong technical abilities. Has strong working knowledge of civil construction standards, specifications, processes and installation methods (materials, tools/equipment); has working knowledge of construction safety requirements/techniques; is able to read and interpret documents and processes and write technical reports and correspondence.
* Able to use technology to review performance/progress, plan, schedule, track activities, communicate, monitor financial data, verify quantities of materials/labor used.
* Strong knowledge of Windows OS and MS-Office (Outlook/Word/Excel).
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Blue Beam/Adobe Acrobat; Project Management and Scheduling Software (ProCore, Primavera, etc.); production/payroll tools (Heavy Job); and accounting software (Foundation, etc.)

What You'll Do:

Structural Engineer

Summary/Objective:
The Structural Engineer position is primarily focused on mechanical structures and supports for our industrial and commercial divisions (local and national accounts). This position works closely with our Project Leaders and our in-house design teams to provide designs and concepts along with professional guidance when needed. This may include leading or participating in discussions with other stakeholders on designs including stamping any self-performing work. Site visits are expected to collect information on design builds and other verifications from time to time.
Essential Functions:
Provide structural guidance during estimating toward the development of project proposals
Review project scopes to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
Performs structural analysis and designs for a variety of projects with a focus on but limited to mechanical platforms, supports, and racks for large commercial and industrial projects.
Prepare, review, and stamp structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated project solutions.
Provide leadership and support for the structural department.
Oversee the creation and development of structural models on self-performing and design assist projects in Revit and/or Tekla to coordinate between structures, and other disciplines.
Conducts shop and/or field investigations for site conditions and inspections.

Required:
Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably structural or civil focused
Active PE license in Virginia (Structural focused preferred), or SE licensed preferred
5+ years of structural industrial experience to include any combination of crane design & guidelines or foundations is preferred or other related experience or education in combination
Work in house at our Richmond VA headquarters
Proficient with structural design software including implementation and management of programs such as STRUDL or other equivalent software.
Strong knowledge of IBC. ACI, AISC, and other applicable codes/standards
Intermediate knowledge of Revit and/or Tekla (Tekla is preferred or willingness to learn Tekla)
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Bluebeam Revu
Comfortable working with 3D environments using the Navisworks platform and point cloud scans
Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills are essential to this role
Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills

The Pipe Layer will be responsible for assembling, installing, and aligning pipes for storm drains, sanitary sewers, water mains, and other underground utility systems.
