HealthFitness is looking for a temporary, part-time Contact Tracer to work at our client site located in Raleigh Durham, NC. Customer support professionals working in a vital track & trace position that helps prevent the further spread of the corona virus. These are in-house opportunities, and qualified candidates will have the ability to investigate and log sensitive information.
What you'll be doing

* Calling close contacts of newly diagnosed COVID-19 patients and communicating further actions to those individuals with professionalism and empathy.
* Following approved call scripts to collect and share information with interviewees while maintaining adherence with policies and procedures.
* Provide contacts with approved information about quarantine procedures and if appropriate refer them to testing or social resources.
* Collecting and recording highly sensitive information into a secure data base.

What you'll need to have

* The ability to follow a script and communicate with the upmost professionalism and empathy with limited supervision.
* High School Diploma/GED required.
* Excellent interpersonal skills required and ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress
* Ability to show empathy to distressed individuals.
* Highly detail oriented, works well within a diverse team, demonstrates a high degree of initiative and flexibility, able to communicate effectively in a positive and professional manner, able to prioritize activities when under tight deadlines, and possesses analytical skills.

The Indian Health Service, an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, is responsible for providing federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. The provision of health services to members of federally-recognized tribes grew out of the special government-to-government relationship between the federal government and Indian tribes. This relationship, established in 1787, is based on Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, and has been given form and substance by numerous treaties, laws, Supreme Court decisions, and Executive Orders. The IHS is the principal federal health care provider and health advocate for Indian people, and its goal is to raise their health status to the highest possible level. The IHS provides a comprehensive health service delivery system for American Indians and Alaska Natives.

HCRS, Inc. is seeking a Contact Tracer who assist with the process of working with a person (patient) who has been diagnosed with an infectious disease to identify and provide support to people (contacts) who may have been infected through close contact with the patient.
Requirements

Tasks and Responsibilities may include all the following, but not limited to:

Making follow up calls to patients after initial call by EPI/Contact Investigator;

Documenting the names and contact information of all individuals who have had contact with a COVID-19 patient;

Tracing and notifying all contacts who have potentially interacted with an infected individual;

Maintaining appropriate discretion with the information;

Tracking and documenting all health data (using an IHS provided software); and/or

Referring contacts for additional testing or health care services as identified.

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience Requirement:

Health care experience or customer service-oriented professionals with experience of frequently interacting with customers.

Preferred Qualifications / Experience Requirement:

Qualified candidates who are local to the community or reservation;

Qualified candidate who is fluent in the major Native language of the local community or reservation;

Candidates who can provide onsite support;

Call center skills (patience, communication, listening, composure, resilience, and persuasion skills) preferred - a portion of work may be conducted via established protocols and scripts

Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or related field.

Candidates with health care training and experience (RN/PHN, Pharmacist, etc.); and/or

Candidates who are licensed, certified, and/or experienced to administer COVID-19 vaccinations

Coast Professional tracer job description

The Contact Tracer will perform COVID-19 case interviews and contact tracing to support the statewide COVID-19 response using a culturally respectful approach that builds trust and facilitates the free sharing of information. The Contact Tracer will gather information about the case, gather information about the case's contacts, notify and educate any household/close contacts who are present during the interview, and assess case and household contact needs for services to support isolation/quarantine, including medical care. The Contact Tracer will use a dedicated data system for collecting and documenting case and contact information obtained from contact interviews.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

+ Field incoming application-specific questions, concerns, and break-fix related incidents

+ Conduct telephone calls with persons diagnosed with COVID-19 to complete case interviews, elicit and trace contacts exposed to COVID-19

+ Provide follow-up instructions to cases and to contacts related to isolation/quarantine, symptom monitoring and assess the need for medical care and supportive services

+ Communicate with cases and contacts in a professional and empathetic manner

+ Collect and record information from the case interview/contact gathering into the data system

+ Follow approved scripts and protocols, provide people with approved information about isolation and quarantine procedures, and if appropriate, refer them to testing

+ Conduct in-person investigations into congregate settings and selected cases and contacts, as needed

+ Maintain daily communication with their Supervising Contact Tracer, as assigned

+ Provide information on where to find other social, health resources using approved script/resource list

+ Receive telephone consent for potential follow-up calls from LDH or other organizations offering support services

Clearance

As a federal contractor, this position requires U.S. citizenship and security clearance granting access to classified information.
