Schedule: Full Time, Weekdays & Weekends
Evening & Overnight (3:30pm-12:00am) (11:30pm-08:00am)

Pay: $16.97 / Hourly

As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

Responsibilities:

* Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
* Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

* Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Providing direction for vehicle and pedestrian traffic using verbal communication and hand signals as appropriate
• Maintaining a high level of professionalism with customers and providing customer service that exceeds their expectations
• Weather protection uniform items are provided
• Shifts and schedules often vary based on business needs

PURPOSE: To ensure effective traffic flow throughout Mall of America's parking lots and ramps.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Direct vehicles throughout Mall of America as instructed by Security Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Ensure the overall safety of the immediate work area as well as surrounding areas.
• Provide outstanding internal and external guest service at all times.
• Regular, reliable and consistent attendance.
• Monitor safety awareness practices among MOA staff and tenants; promptly identify and report any hazardous conditions according to procedure.
• Uphold high personal and professional standards as set forth by the MOA Security Department.
• Utilize quick decision-making skills and sound judgment acting in accordance with MOA Security policy and procedure.
• Ensure proper radio traffic which includes keeping team and leadership informed of all pertinent and activities according to procedure.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations, utilizing rational thinking and decision making.
• Additional duties as assigned.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Must be at least 15 years of age
• Ability to work variable and/or rotating shifts, which include evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Completion of an in-house training program immediately upon hire.
• Excellent coordination and movement skills
• Good verbal communications skills
• Ability to conduct self in a professional manner
• Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions
