RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Help in the preparation of import/export documentation. Ensure that all documents are received on time and are submitted to broker in timely manner. Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of vessel schedule informing of container, air shipments and courier arrivals. Work closely with agents and broker to receive updated shipping and delivery information to insure on time arrival.
  • Perform data entry of inbound merchandise into Company’s ERP platform.
  • Help maintain routine contact with Logistics providers on the import/export side, as well as with trucking and common carriers on the domestic side. Work with agents and consolidators to facilitate cost and time effective shipping schedules to meet customer demands.
  • Help liaise with Sales, Customers and forwarders to coordinate shipments and handle all the associated documentation and billing. Provide timely updates in regards to shipment status.
  • Coordinate Canadian shipments to ensure prompt and accurate invoicing.
  • Collaborate in replenishment report, preparing inventory transfer/move list, and comparing it to unallocated customer demand in warehouse management platform.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and analyze stock locations to ensure maximum availability for existing orders.
  • Train Warehouse users on ERP tools.
REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 3 years of experience in Export/Import
  • Understanding of inventory control requirements
  • Basic knowledge of domestic and international geography
  • Basic knowledge of U.S. Customs and other Federal agencies procedures
  • Ability to generate quotes to customers and/or prospects
  • Experience producing documentation, i.e. bills of lading and customer invoices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational skills
  • 4-year college preferable in a related subject or business
  • Preferred NS-related applications; familiarity with MS Office applications
