Transition managers are tasked with coordinating any transformational changes in a company, like financial, operational, technical, or logistic changes. They analyze any internal requests for changes and consult with management to reject or approve the proposed changes.

They develop transitional plans and documents to outline project expectations, scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Besides that, they consult with management on the risk factors of implementing proposed changes and facilitating approved transition processes. Also, they conduct workshops training to inform staff members about any major changes in the company.

Employers require a bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, or a similar field with a minimum of two years of experience in transition management. Applicants must have a solid knowledge of transition management software like XenonRTM and Jira.

Also, you must possess interpersonal, multitasking, communication, analytical, time management, and organizational skills. Transition managers earn an average annual salary of $80,825. It ranges between $46,000 and $143,000.

A bachelor's in communication sciences and disorders can prepare you for three different tracks. First, it can prepare you to become a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This is someone who works under a fully credential speech-language pathologist. Often times, they carryout intervention plans developed by a fully credentialed speech-language pathologist. If graduate school is on your horizon, a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders will prepare you for acceptance into a Speech-Language Pathology program, or an Audiology program. If you are not accepted into a graduate program right away, working as a speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA) is a great way to get experience in the field!
