This position is local to the Midland, TX shop but requires substantial travel to other basins, including but not limited to overnight stays, out of basin work assignments, rotational hitch work, and on-call duties.
Skills & Abilities
Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Experience: 2+ years verifiable work experience with heavy equipment and/or over the road vehicles along with basic mechanical abilities to work in shop area and location as needed. Heavy haul and previous oilfield experience a plus. Must have experience driving a manual truck and proficient shifting abilities.
Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license, meet minimum driving standards for company insurance purposes, and successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen and DOT physical. Drivers are subject to a road test assessment as part of the continued employment process.
Duties
Must maintain a valid CDL-A license with a good record and no major violations.
Drive company equipment as needed, including hot shots as required.
Complete tasks in the shop areas as requested by management.
Perform complete pre- and post-trip inspections of all equipment to reduce/eliminate breakdowns.
Must be able to operate safely within high traffic/congested areas as well as very rural areas.
Complete log book and other paperwork meeting all DOT and company record keeping requirements.
Adhere to published CDL driver schedule and effectively communicate changes, requests for time off, etc. to immediate supervisor.
Follow all company safety policies, guidelines, and initiatives at all times.
Other project as assigned by management.
