1. IP
An IP - Internet Protocol is a unique number assigned to all devices connected to information technology, such as printers, routers, modems, etc. Each device or domain that connects to the Internet is assigned an IP address, and as packets are directed to the IP address attached to them, the data goes where it is needed. IP addresses are the identifier used to send information between devices on a network. They contain location information and make devices accessible for communication.
- Perform WAN and LAN IP network service infrastructure design and engineering; service prototyping and laboratory experimentation.
- Worked on re-engineering the design for Sprints IP OOB network, optimizing where necessary and replacing older end-of-life equipment.
2. Transportation Planning
Transportation planning is the intentional process of mapping out strategies, making investments, and creating policies that will lead to the successful movement of people and goods from one place to another. It's usually a collaborative job involving many stakeholders in the transportation industry, government agencies, and industries in the public and private sectors.
- Monitor the Transportation Planning Scholarship program thru fundraising efforts.
- Participated in Auckland area transportation planning meetings with top members of local government transportation agencies and the national railroad.
3. SONET
- Develop and deliver executive presentations on SONET contract deployment status.
- Design, deploy and support SONET transport networks (OC3 - OC192) carrying core data, voice and video traffic.
4. DCS
A DSC, Distributed Control System, is a specially computerized design control system that autonomously coordinates several subsystems located around the entire manufacturing plant or industrial process through a high-speed communication network where top-down coordination and control are utmost for efficiency.
- Work with DCS engineers to provide regional forecast to ensure ports were allocated for transport: entrance facilities and optimization projects.
- Provided Digital Cross Connect Support System (DCS) support and dimensioning.
5. DACS
- Validate CFA availability based on LEC/ILEC database query; retrieve DACs cross connects to validate CFA availability.
- Resolved delivery issues by redesigning interfacing DACs or media gateways so as to fulfill committed SLA installation date and accuracy.
6. GIS
A geographic information system (GIS) is a tool for capturing, storing, manipulating, analyzing, managing and presenting various forms of geographic data.
- Assisted to provide a transportation plan to improve the traffic quality in the largest district in Tehran using EMME/2 & GIS
- Assisted Flashing Yellow Arrows Installation Project by performing GIS mapping of locations and field studies.
7. Transport Equipment
Transport equipment and supplies include various lifesaving equipment, namely ventilators, oxygen tanks, splints, and cardiac monitors. Transport equipment also includes the other non-emergency transport equipment including wheelchairs and moveable beds.
- Understand the features and capabilities of transport equipment.
- Create detailed installation notes for network-related transport equipment and deliver advanced field support for newly-deployed equipment to ensure seamless installation.
8. Federal Highway Administration
- Provided transportation background that was vital to MITRE's support of the Federal Highway Administration's Intelligent Transportation System program.
- Led team preparing an Access Justification Report for the Federal Highway Administration, covering 10 freeway interchanges.
9. Traffic Analysis
- Conduct traffic analysis and field investigations to determine strategies to help improve traffic safety and operations at intersections and roadways.
- Created a traffic analysis for 15.8 acres of undeveloped land analyzing the intersections and making recommendations for geometric improvements.
10. Transportation Projects
Transportation Projects refer to construction projects that will offer various modes of public transportation. This may be a subway system, bus line, or monorail. The project can be constructing an entirely new system or an improvement on existing transportation system. The transportation constructed may be based on what the community needs most or what can be afforded.
- Prepared technical reports for development of transportation projects.
- Performed environmental documentation and permitting for numerous transportation projects.
11. Traffic Engineering
- Design and optimize transportation systems by actively liaising with multidisciplinary teams integrating innovative urban design concepts with traffic engineering methodologies.
- Analyze measures of effectiveness and prepare technical reports for various traffic engineering and pedestrian safety assignments.
12. Travel Demand
- Travel Demand Management Studies (TDM).
- Prepared and/or reviewed travel demand assumptions, LOS analysis, schematic geometric design and pedestrian analysis for multimodal planning projects.
13. Nepa
- Provided comments to state and federal NEPA projects within the county district.
14. FHWA
- Audit / Project documentation Compliance Review: Participated in design documentation compliance review in accordance with FHWA stewardship agreement.
- Certify material used in the project by performing FHWA compliance review of material documents, test results, approving material source.
