**Position Snapshot**
Industrial Cleaning Operators at US Ecology are responsible for removing material from our customers' storage containers, and also using industrial equipment to thoroughly clean these containers. Support various environmental services such as emergency response, marine services, industrial cleaning, UST removal, waste packaging, site demolition, emergency spill response and stie cleanup projects, and contaminated site remediations. This position requires the candidate to respond on a 24/7/365 basis.
**Day in the Life**
After grabbing your favorite morning beverage, you can expect to:
+ Check in with the Manager/Foreman/Supervisor for assignments
+ Gather the equipment and paperwork you'll need for the day
+ Travel to customer sites to pick up their hazardous waste in drums, totes and/or tanks
+ Operate the necessary equipment to complete the day's task
+ Service customers by picking up their hazardous waste in drums, totes and/or tanks while assisting with operating equipment such as roll-offs, vacuum trucks, vacuum tankers, tractor trailers, vans, and box trucks
+ Responds to customer spills and emergencies.
+ Navigate Tampa and surrounding areas on a daily basis
+ Load/Unload trucks for preparation for next day jobs
+ Sweep, clean and/or shovel materials
+ Ensure the work area is safe at all times
+ Must be able to respond to emergencies at all times (24/7)
+ Perform other duties as assigned
**What you need to apply**
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
+ Florida driver's license
+ Basic computer skills
+ 1 year of general labor experience preferred
+ Comfort wearing a respirator as needed (Clean shaven/mustache acceptable)
+ Ability to work a flexible work schedule including overtime and weekends
+ Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
+ Good driving record with less than 3 violations in the last 3 years
