Able to correctly position patient and selects correct probe for given procedure. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as required. Performs a variety of technical skills that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ultrasound waves for imaging and diagnosis. Must have a willingness to cross train and spend time in the study of Sonography essentials. Understands how to use Meditech system and completes all requirements to assure exams are correctly ordered and moved to the Taken Status. Submits all required sequences per exam protocol and sends completed study to the Radiologist. Knowledge of PACS system and how to operate make appropriate changes prior to sending to the Radiologist, and make CDs.
