Principle Accountabilities:

Serve as business partner to BU personnel and assist in providing strategic and tactical direction for the long-term financial success of the unit. Provide early warning on all business trends that affect the performance of the unit related to Engineering and Administrative spend - including P&L, balance sheet, and operational issues, while identifying probable causes and solutions.
3. Oversee, manage and consolidate all financial reporting and accounting functions at the BU level. Accountable for timely and accurate month-end closing, forecasting, quoting, working capital, and fixed asset management.
4. Coordinate the annual budget and long-range planning (LRP) process in a participative and strategic fashion leads to objective and reasonable Engineering and Administrative spending.
5. Implement proper cost center reporting for Functional department reporting. Communicates and schedules regular reviews of Functional departments vs. budget/forecast and assists in the identification and implementation of corrective actions to secure target achievements.
6. Implement clear and comprehensive Department controlling structure in SAP - including work to establish or improve existing systems/processes.
8. Will Act as SOX Coordinator for Business Unit, ensuring an effective internal control environment with polices/procedures that comply with US GAAP, ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) and Company Policy requirements.
9. Develop strong collaborative relationships within the BU related to peers in Operations and Engineering to drive strong communication and financial reporting.

Principal Function :

The Unit Controller takes direct responsibility for the financial affairs of the unit by overseeing cash management and credit transactions, general ledger entries, tax and compliance, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, as well as financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications/Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years' work experience as a Controller or in a lead accounting/finance role.
  • Extensive experience with food and beverage operations, to include banquet, catering and/or concessions operations, bar procedures, sanitation requirements, alcohol compliance and regulatory issues affecting food service.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, to include Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare ad-hoc financial reports, statements and projections as needed
  • Excellent knowledge of EXCEL/ACCESS and Microsoft Office Suite software, A/P, A/R, Payroll, G/L and cash handling; Lawson experience is highly desired.
  • Proven ability to work with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Initiative in identifying and resolving problems timely and effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to promote and participate in team environment concepts.
