Custom Truck One Source has an opening for Warehouse Associate with a background in heavy and light duty trucks and equipment. This position requires a high degree of safety, accuracy and productivity as well as one year of pervious shipping, receiving, warehouse and/or parts experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Adhere to the established process for daily shipping and receiving of all incoming and outbound freight. * Verify product received matches packing slip and/or purchase order and receive in system. * Verify non-inventoried components, communicate/document discrepancies and part swaps. * Load or unload materials manually or with a forklift, on or off pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices. * Verify, update, and create bin locations for all inventoried parts. * Verify inventory is labeled and system is updated with any changes. * Replenish shelves with incoming stock orders and perform daily spot checks on inventory. * Pick parts kits prior to production start. * Process returned parts after job is complete to ensure correct parts are applied to the work order and returned to inventory properly. * Efficiently assist technicians in getting the correct parts for their job during production and apply these parts to the correct work order. * Inform Supervisor of any discrepancies in inventory quantities as they arise. * Perform parts runs between locations, in company vehicle to pick up and/or deliver parts as needed. * Pull and package items to return to vendor. * Will perform forklift maintenance checklist on forklift every day before each work shift. * Assist with daily cycle counting. * Assist with year-end physical inventory. * Responsible for keeping warehouse organized and clean. * Performs clerical duties including data entry and filing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Ownership of design and analysis of mechanical structures and components. * Deep understanding of Bill of Material (BOM) structures. * Develop new products using 3D solid modeling software (SolidWorks). * Create detail drawings of 3D models (SolidWorks). * Work with procurement team to order prototype parts and manage creation of prototypes. * Create test procedures and work with testing dept to implement functional, structural, and stability testing. * Make modifications to new designs based on results of testing. * Evaluate machine weight and balance for road worthiness and crane stability. * Create sales support drawings. * Analyze product failures, develop repairs and redesign accordingly. * Assist technical publications in creation of manuals (parts books, service manuals, operator manuals). * ECR review and recommend approval/rejection. * ECO creation and give recommendations on implementation. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS * 2+ years' experience in an engineering capacity. * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology. * Proficient in engineering design software - 3D and 2D (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred). * Proficient in Microsoft Office. * Structural Design - Welded steel structures. * Understanding and use of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Infor, xetc). PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Two (2) years of engineering experience in manufacturing environment or, * Two (2) years of engineering experience in automotive design related field or, * Two (2) years of engineering experience in vocational truck assembly. * Ability to identify complex build challenges and implement solutions quickly and correctly. * Ability to weld. * Ability to understand 12V electrical systems. * Ability to understand hydraulic plumbing systems. Department: MFG Successful applicant will conduct metal (primarily steel) fabrication and welding on a daily basis. Successful applicant will be responsible for various types of structural welding, including preparation, welding, and finishing operations. Applicant must be able to read, interpret, and understand detail design prints. Successful applicant must be good physical condition and able work in a steel fabrication shop environment on a daily basis. Successful applicant must be a team player, able to easily interact with others, have a solid work ethic. Material Handlers work with both warehouses and production facilities to move products. Responsible for delivering production materials and supplies, staging finished products, and maintaining an open line of communication throughout the facility to ensure supply demands are met to increase productivity. The Material Handler will also ensure that all production needs are fully stocked and have the products they need to fulfill orders and move quickly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Work closely with Management team to understand Daily Line Demand * Validate contents of kits to various areas within the factory * Ensure that proper procedures are followed when procuring "missing" parts for those various areas, find those parts that have been issued to a particular job and not in-station, or retrieve parts that must be reissued and deliver to the area of shortage * Confer with production, sales, and warehouse, to expedite the needs of the production teams * Collaborate and reconcile Missing Parts in Station occurrences * Responsible for on-time kit delivery into every work area within the facility * Assists in orchestrating material movement and storage locations for material handler * Responsible for verifying production needs through the shop to ensure minimum downtime in production areas * Ensure that kits/parts are delivered to the correct build station/trailer serial number * Work directly with warehouse personnel to make whole any kits that are requested to the line with known parts shortages * In the event of an in-process change, will be responsible for removal/replacement of parts to satisfy said change * Record damages to materials during production, initiate proper disposition procedures and replace with proper materials as needed * Review orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forward incomplete orders for further processing * Be aware of advanced production needs, be prepared to know what is needed for production at least three days in advance by area * Track and record accuracy of critical parts tracker * Communicate inaccuracies to leadership in a timely manner * Availability to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings * Other duties as assigned Required Skills and Qualifications: * Understanding of warehouse software application packages and Microsoft Office proficiency * Knowledge of warehousing and production fundamentals * Ability to retrieve, analyze, and input data * Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities * Strong organizational and time management skills * Proven experience in coordinating and directing operations * Possess High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) * Must have valid driver's license * Minimum 2 years forklift experience * Previous Heavy equipment experience a plus Preferred Skills and Qualifications: * Established warehouse expertise * Established Production Expertise * Highly efficient warehouse techniques and skills Working Conditions: * Work is conducted inside and outside during all-weather types * Tasks may involve moderate to heavy physical labor * Walking, climbing, standing, sitting, and lifting are required Physical Requirements: * Be able to grip, pull and push heavy objects * Ability to work with hands and perform routine lifting to 100lbs * Stand for extended periods of time This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
