Consult with veterinarians on clinical case management and treatment of animals. Complete the collection, maintenance and compliance of written documentation and records. Manage and record animal clinical cases independently Assist veterinary, research, and Animal Resources staff as needed. This includes provisions of medical care/treatments, anesthesia, or research manipulations. Review and communicate clinical care plan(s) with investigators Perform animal experimental techniques, including restraint, IM, IV, IP and SQ injections, blood and tissue collection, necropsy, anesthesia and analgesia and surgery techniques. Assist with receiving and shipping laboratory animals. May perform behavioral studies, and animal breeding colony management.
