Position Overview: The purpose of a Surgery Technician Assistant Level 1 is to assist Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants and DVMs in a variety of ways including restrain, diagnostics and client communication. Assisting in these areas will allow for maximum efficient for the team. Technician Assistants Level 1 are expected to complete a daily checklist as well as complete other duties as needed per the request of the Veterinary Technician/Assistant. After holding this position for a minimum of 90 days, Level 1 TAs who are interested and qualified are able to advance to Technician Assistant Level 2 position.
