The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and Head of Development, the Vice President, Development Operations is accountable for program and study execution, clinical outsourcing, business operations and analytics functions, and data management across the global organization with headquarter sites in Zurich and South San Francisco. The VP Development Operations will be part of the Development Leadership Team and Portfolio Leadership Team and will work closely with functions including Early Clinical, Late Clinical and Medical Affairs, Clinical Pharmacology, Regulatory / Quality, Biometrics, and Translational Biology / Biomarker Operations to ensure seamless and timely execution of clinical trials from Ph1-3 that enable inspection ready data. The Vice President, Development Operations is accountable for enabling Denali to be the partner of choice for study sites, contract research organizations (CROs) and other external partners for global clinical trials and ensuring execution of clinical trials to projected budget and timelines.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following)

Responsible for the global leadership, strategic planning, oversight, mentoring, and integrated planning and operations of our clinical trials and projects including but not limited to financial planning and budgeting, execution of clinical trials and projects, and ensuring high quality data collection to support regulatory filing. In collaboration with Development, Portfolio Management, Finance, Legal / Contracts and other stakeholders, oversee clinical project schedules, timelines, budgets and key performance milestones to meet corporate objectives Accountable for leveraging Development Operations organization to deliver on clinical operations scenario planning, high level forecasting of timelines, assessment of program level feasibility, and estimation of resources and budget Accountable for review and tracking of clinical trial budget plans and actuals and progress with recruitment, utilizing appropriate tools and enabling dashboards for efficient corporate-wide communication Lead organization in preparing and presents trial parameters and clinical information to senior management, vendors, and other key stakeholders Excellent working knowledge of FDA and EMA regulations and expectations, GCPs, ICH guidelines, and all phases of clinical drug development Lead strategic approach to global clinical trials including strategies for resourcing, CRO partnership strategy (preferred partners) and organizational structure Demonstrated ability to innovate and execute for both strategic and tactical abilities and stay ahead of challenges with proactive strategies. Experience in sponsoring / leading internal and external inspections and/or audits Champions a mindset and approach that fosters collaboration, consistency, and continuous improvement Ensures alignment with broader Denali strategic initiatives and business needs Ensures advocacy / voice of the patient represented in the planning, design and conduct of clinical trials



Requirements


Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred) At least 10 years management experience and 15+ years of experience within a clinical operations function with experience across global Ph1-3 trials in a highly outsourced CRO partnership model Experience with direct management of clinical operations, business operations and data management and / or participation in leadership team with heads of relevant functions Experience in Rare Disease, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, or ALS clinical operations is a plus Analytical thought partner with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Demonstrated experience of strong, collaborative and nurturing leadership, management and mentorship abilities across all levels of clinical operations staff Track record of excellence in effective management of multiple projects, priorities and budgets Understanding of comprehensive regulatory requirements and strategic implications for clinical development operations Ability to remain calm and navigate in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills

As FX Front Office Market Risk, Vice President you will

Responsibilities:
Perform daily risk management for a diverse portfolio of counterparties, including analysis of VaR exposures, collateral delivered under CSAs, stress scenario results, and exposure changes over time.Help design, implement, and maintain metrics and analyses to track the consumption of regulatory capital, balance sheet leverage, and market risk to aid optimal decision making in sales and trading teams.Work closely with traders to determine the risk impact of new trading and strategic opportunities, including hedging strategies and resource optimization.Provide CVA estimates to desk in support of ad-hoc opportunities and contribute to streamlining CVA modelling process.
