UES, Inc. has an opportunity for a Data-Scientist/Data-Visualization-Tool-Developer with skills in data analysis, automation of analysis, and development of visualization tools, to join our research team at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work cooperatively in diverse multi-disciplinary teams. Primary research responsibilities will be to work with researchers to build tools for automation of data reduction, analysis, and visualization. The ability to work with experimentalist in developing approaches for optimizing data collection within the parameter space of a given set of experiments is preferred. Experience in research environments, with automation of measurement tools/equipment, or in working with data coming from similar environments is a plus but not required.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
• Develop tools for automation of data analysis, for optimizing data collection within the parameter space of a given set of experiments.
• Automation of measurement tools/equipment
Requirements:
• M.S. or Ph.D. (within 3 months) in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experienced with Python, R, C, C++ or other relevant programing languages and analysis/visualization tools
• Experienced in data analysis and ability to make visualization tools
• Machine learning experience with ability to implement support vector machines with active learning
• Must be self-motivated, with good interpersonal skills, and be adaptable to work within a diverse group and varying program objectives
• This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills
• This position is working within a government facility and requires U.S. Citizenship

Compensation:

Hiring Range is $15.36 - $17.28 Hourly**

The iconic look of our stores starts with you. Under the direction of the Store Manager, you lead the merchandising team to set the stage for an exceptional visual experience. Both creative and strategic, you utilize your eye for design and energetic attitude to plan and communicate the overall merchandise design vision to your team. From seasonal floor plans to daily visual displays, you lead, direct and delegate the flow of product from receiving to the sales floor. Mentorship is also key. You lead, educate and empower your team to communicate a strong visual message while encouraging professional development.
What you'll do:

Leadership

+ In collaboration with the Store Manager, manage and delegate workload and ensure execution of plans and strategies across the store and in assigned area.

+ Partner with the Store Manager to establish and communicate all critical metrics and expectations within the store, including but not limited to sales, visual, operations, safety, loss prevention, human resources, payroll/scheduling and training.

+ Coach, teach, train, recognize and manage all aspects of performance and development for all store associates to encourage professional growth and build a bench of talent.

Job Knowledge

+ Focus on promoting and driving sales as they pertain to, or are driven by, position and acting as the Manager on Duty (MOD).

+ Collaborate with Store Manager and other functional Assistant Store Managers during new season planning and execution.

Results Oriented

+ Analyze results through reporting, translating numbers into actionable behaviors and goals in order to improve KPI results.

+ Ensure all customers are provided gracious, quick and efficient service. Set expectations and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and the company to both internal and external customers in all forms of communication.

Communication/Teamwork

+ Communicate regularly with the management team concerning all aspects of sales, customer feedback/traffic and associate training/performance. Participate in weekly store walk-throughs with the management team and follow-up as required.

+ Stay up to date on all store initiatives and communications that are received, sharing with associates when appropriate.
