Foth's Water and Wastewater Services is seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-driven Lead Drinking Water Engineer who is looking to be a significant contributor in discipline development and the design of diverse civil engineering projects. This position can be based out of our Milwaukee, Madison, Rapid City, or Minneapolis locations.

As a member of the Foth Infrastructure Water team, you will help clients meet these challenges by delivering innovative water solutions, preserving infrastructure, and protecting the public and our natural resources. You will take a lead role in providing effective solutions that allow for affordable growth and development of our communities.

Primary ResponsibilitiesLead technical engineering project designs and reports for drinking water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution Prepare design plans, specifications, and bid documents for water system construction projects including water wells, treatment plants, storage, booster stations, and other distribution needs Develop technical drinking water reports for local, state, and federal agencies Establish, implement, and continuously improve discipline-specific standard work, training programs, and QA/QC systems Support and develop the technical vision and strategic direction for the drinking water discipline in cooperation with the Water Technical Competency Leader

Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program Minimum of 5 years of experience with municipal drinking water engineering in the engineering consulting industry Professional Engineer (PE) License with the ability to obtain licensure in Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota within 12 months

Preferred Qualifications10+ years of experience leading technical teams and working directly with clients while conducting hands-on engineering including design, reports, and feasibility studies for drinking water projects Software proficiency in water system modeling

Arcadis is seeking entry level Water Engineers for our offices nationwide. Arcadis provides multiple onboarding and development programs created for our young professionals that support professional growth and help drive creativeness, innovation, and greater integration within our local, national and global teams.

Role accountabilities:

What you will do:

* Evaluate, plan, design and support management of projects for water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance (pipelines and pumping facilities).
* Assess, develop, and support the management of sustainability and resilience projects including vulnerability and mitigation assessments, and planning and design for utilities, municipalities, and cities.
* Perform fieldwork activities such as site visits, sampling, water quality analyses, technology evaluations, and plant operations information, process troubleshooting, and optimization.
* Support Asset Management projects performing data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and overall performance evaluations of water/wastewater/stormwater facilities.
* Support preparation of reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings.
* Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards, and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
* Learn, design, and manage databases, SQL server (including reporting and integration services), cloud-based computing services, and configuration of interactive dashboards.
* Work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally.
* Learn and use digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality.

+ Knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques (ultrasonic thickness, electromagnetic, surface penetrating radar, etc.) for piping systems and structural facilities

+ Example linear assessment technologies include: electromagnetic; visual & sounding; CCTV; remotely operated vehicles (ROVs); laser and sonar scanning

+ Maintains a high regard for overall field work safety

+ Registered professional engineer in the state AZ, or ability to obtain AZ professional registration within one year from date of hire

+ Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software

+ Ability to perform hands-on field work to make observations and collect data

+ Familiarity with asset management principles including risk based prioritization
