Dr. Omri Palmon, a technology veteran for more than 30 years, brings his extensive background in software development, research and product management to WekaIO. Previously he was VP of Marketing and Product for XIV, a storage start-up, until its acquisition by IBM in 2008. Later he served as part of the IBM/XIV team until it reached half a billion dollars in sales.

Before that Dr. Palmon held various technical and product-centric positions in telecommunications and embedded software development.

As a co-founder at WekaIO, Maor Ben-Dayan, brings a wide ranging skillset to the opportunities facing the company, skills won over nearly 20 years of deep technical experience in startup and large corporate environments.

As project lead for IBM’s XIV Storage System, Mr. Ben-Dayan led a team of engineers developing future capabilities for the IBM XIV Storage platform. Maor also led development of state-of-the-art collision avoidance technology at segment leader Mobileye and led a team developing Unix kernel code through all stages of development from requirements through research, development and intensive testing under severe schedule pressure and very high quality standards for the Israeli Defense Forces.

As a senior Silicon Valley executive, Watson is perhaps best known for the twelve years he spent with NetApp,the global leader in the network storage industry. The most outbound of NetApp's several CTOs, Watson built multiple teams, led numerous projects, and helped drive the company's consistently successful customer-oriented product strategy, supporting revenue growth from $14M in 1995 to over $3B in 2007. Prior to NetApp, Watson spent a decade with other computer systems vendors (Auspex, Prime, Data General, RDS AutoMate). Before that, his breadth of experience includes having been ''the customer'' during the pre-Lockheed years he spent with Martin Marietta Aerospace (Space Launch Systems), and the Systems Manager for the New York City Transit Authority's TCS (Transportation Control System). Watson also is a member of the advisory boards for several start-ups, including Gear6, Index Engines, Intransa, MiraLink, Mobopia, Monosphere, Orchesys, Overtone Software, PowerFile, Scalent, and Z Research.

Mr. Nazeer drives the creation of successful processes and systems, and is building reliable, robust, and scalable operations, accounting and finance functions at Unifi. With 25 years of leadership experience, he has led the growth of software and biotech companies across the globe. Prior to joining Unifi, he was the COO and CFO at Tribal Planet, an innovative social impact SaaS platform for brands. Mr. Nazeer started his career with HCL group, a global technology solutions giant. He served as global finance head for Solix Group before holding leadership positions at Platfora (acquired by Workday), Greenplum (acquired by EMC), Appcelerator (acquired by Axway) and Pelikan Technologies.
