Examine weld for bead size and other specifications. Repair broken or cracked metal objects, fill holes, and build up metal parts. Lays out, positions, and tack welds workpieces. Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. Prepare joint to be welded by grinding or other processes prior to beginning welding. Remove and/or repair and discontinuities from the weld before continuing the fabrication process. Clean or degrease parts. All other duties will be assigned.
