Position Overview:
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Welder 2 is a highly skilled craftsman position that requires skills and expertise in welding, pipe fitting, fabrication, and general maintenance. Welders may have and use other skills, such as plant operators, field machinists, or electricians. They are responsible for the major maintenance on tanks and piping systems and for fabrication of pipe racks, equipment stands of tank piping systems and for the fabrication of pipe racks, equipment stands, and other items necessary to maintain the safe and efficient operation of the plants. The welders will be assigned tasks and work independently from formal plans or informal sketches or verbal requests. When jobs are finished, the manager or supervisor will assess the project's needs and reassign welders to new tasks.

The Role:

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Welder 2 is a highly skilled craftsman position that requires skills and expertise in welding, pipe fitting, fabrication, and general maintenance. Welders may have and use other skills, such as plant operators, field machinists, or electricians. They are responsible for the major maintenance on tanks and piping systems and for fabrication of pipe racks, equipment stands of tank piping systems and for the fabrication of pipe racks, equipment stands, and other items necessary to maintain the safe and efficient operation of the plants.
