- 0-3 years of experience in an analytical laboratory setting.
- Experience with basic wet chemistry tests and methods such as titrations.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A fast learner, self-starter, mature, personable, and relates well to people at all levels.
- Strong knowledge of a variety of analytical instrumentation that includes but is not limited to HPLC, ICP-MS, FTIR.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of analytical instrumentation that includes but is not limited to HPLC, ICP-MS, FTIR (preferred).
- Has knowledge and understanding of ISO/USP standards and guidelines (preferred).
- cGMP laboratory experience (preferred).
- Efficiency using Chromeleon or Total Chrom software (preferred)
Knowledge and Skills for Intermediate Level:
The following are examples of skills which may be used as a guide for placing a candidate at an intermediate level.
- 2+ years’ experience using HPLC or ICP-MS to determine assay/potency results.
- 2+ years’ experience testing heavy metal analysis using ICP-MS.
- Experience with controlled substances (DEA).
- Experience performing method validations following a protocol.
- Experience in technical writing for SOPs, Validation Protocols, or reports.
- Experience developing methods for HPLC assays/potency tests.
- Experience developing methods for ICP-MS heavy metal tests.
- Experience with stability indicating methods using forced degradation studies.
- Experience transferring methods between departments.
- Experience with HPLC maintenance, HPLC troubleshooting, and instrument qualifications.
- Experience with ICP-MS maintenance, troubleshooting, and qualifications.
- In-depth knowledge of validation requirements per USP and other regulatory agencies.
- In-depth knowledge of USP & ISO standards and guidelines
- Experience with troubleshooting HPLC/ICP-MS methods and investigating issues.
- Experience training Chemists.
