We are currently seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Engineer with 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater system planning, design, and construction, including water transmission systems, force mains, and the evaluation, design and rehabilitation of sanitary sewer systems. Construction phase experience is desired. Experience in pipeline design and rehabilitation, water storage tanks, and pumping stations is a plus.
The successful candidate is expected to be able to independently work on technical tasks with minimum supervision, lead and coordinate technical tasks and, when appropriate, serve as the project design lead. The successful candidate is also expected to support the preparation of technical proposals, in particular the development of technical approaches. Candidates should demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as presentation skills, and the ability to mentor and train younger engineering staff.
Responsibilities will include:
* Manage, plan, and provide design oversight of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
* Prepare and monitor project budgets, successfully manage and deliver projects on time and on budget, while meeting quality requirements. Control work-in-progress and ensure accurate client billings on projects.
* Participate in construction phase, including pre-bid conferences, interpretations and post-bid evaluations and contract preparation.
* Participate in pre-project presentations and interviews.
* Lead project planning efforts from procurement and negotiation through execution and closeout, while continuing to monitor project status and control execution to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
Applicants must possess the following:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or other related field from an ABET accredited program

We are seeking an Entry-Level Highway Engineer to join our Highway Engineering Group in our Pittsburgh Regional office.
Our team works on a variety of projects within the mid-Atlantic region (PA, MD, DE, VA) and occasionally on national and international projects. Typical clients include state and local transportation agencies such as PennDOT, MDOT, and VDOT as well as private-sector partners. Project scopes range from small-scale intersection improvements to complex interchange and major corridor projects.
Responsibilities include:
* Assist in the development of roadway alignments, profiles, and typical sections
* Prepare construction plans for roadway geometrics, signing and pavement markings, maintenance of traffic (MOT) and erosion and sediment control
* Perform drainage and stormwater design tasks in coordination with senior engineers
* Utilize design software (e.g., Microstation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD) to produce plan sets and 3D models
* Support preparation of construction specifications, quantity calculations and cost estimates
* Contribute to technical reports, studies, and design documentation
* Assist in preparing materials for client meetings, public meetings, and agency submissions
* Coordinate with internal design disciplines (structures, traffic, utilities) to integrate design elements
* Participate in occasional site visits for data collection, field verification, or design support
* Coordinate with senior engineers on permitting requirements and utility research
* Work under the guidance of experienced engineers who will provide mentoring and support toward your professional growth
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
* 0-4 years of relevant experience
* Relevant internship/job experience related to transportation engineering preferred
* Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization
* Ability to handle multiple assignments

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Engineer with 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater system planning, design, and construction, including water transmission systems, force mains, and the evaluation, design and rehabilitation of sanitary sewer systems in our Downtown Pittsburgh office. Construction phase experience is desired. Experience in water and wastewater facilities, water storage tanks, and pumping stations is a plus.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate is expected to be able to independently work on technical tasks with minimum supervision, lead and coordinate technical tasks and, when appropriate, serve as the project design lead. The successful candidate is also expected to support the preparation of technical proposals, in particular the development of technical approaches. Successful candidate should demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as presentation skills, and the ability to mentor and train younger engineering staff.
Responsibilities will include:
* Manage, plan, and provide design oversight of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
* Prepare and monitor project budgets, successfully manage and deliver projects on time and on budget, while meeting quality requirements. Control work-in-progress and ensure accurate client billings on projects.
* Participate in construction phase, including pre-bid conferences, interpretations and post-bid evaluations and contract preparation.
* Participate in pre-project presentations and interviews.
* Lead project planning efforts from procurement and negotiation through execution and closeout, while continuing to monitor project status and control execution to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
* B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited program

* P.E., registered in the State of Pennsylvania, or ability to become registered through comity from another state within 6 months.
