Talan Products is seeking an Engineering Co-Op to join our team from January 2026 through August 2026. This is a full-time, on-site position (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm) designed to give students hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will support product development, process optimization, and Lean manufacturing initiatives. You'll assist with new product launches, collaborate on continuous improvement projects, and gain exposure to advanced technologies-all while working alongside experienced professionals.

Requirements

This unique co-op position provides the student with in-depth construction knowledge, as Ferguson Construction builds what we design with our construction team of over 225 men and women. This position works directly with our Managing Architect, and design staff to design, draft, detail and assemble preliminary and construction documents in both AutoCAD and Revit. At times the position will use Revit, and Enscape to create 3D models, renderings, and perhaps animations to help visualize projects for our clients. This position will have the opportunity to take preliminary designs of a variety of building types, provide design and detailing input, and create documents for construction. This challenging position will require problem solving skills and will teach the student all facets of construction to properly design each unique project. The depth of tasks assigned will be dependent on the student's proficiency. Previous strong co-ops have been given full, independent, design of additions and new buildings of many project types with direction and supervision.

About This Role and About You
This position is directly involved in assisting the engineering team at the Cairo plant with their daily activities. The primary focus of the co-op will be plant reliability with an emphasis on safety, process improvements, documentation, and small project management. The Co-op will also be responsible to provide laboratory coverage as needed, in the lab technician's absence.

* Understanding, upholding, demonstrating and improving the Chemtrade safety culture
* Collection of plant process data and prepares plant material balances.
* Provides technical information to the engineering, operations and maintenance functions as requested.
* Assisting in initiating plant investigations related to proposed changes in the plant process.
* Assisting the process engineer with quarterly flow RATAs done in-house
* Inputting and re-organizing information with regards to Infor and the plant equipment files
* P&ID updates
* Quality Control Lab coverage
* Establishing and sustaining process safety information
* Assisting with maintenance and CAPEX projects
* Assisting with ECP generation and revision
* Assisting with operation procedure generation and revision
* Assisting with JSA generation and revision
* Line labeling and equipment tagging
* Any other duties as assigned that are deemed to pose a minimum risk
Qualifications
* Education: 2nd/ 3rd Year Chemical Engineering Student
* Minimum GPA: 3.0 / 4.0

POSITION SUMMARY
Borden Dairy is seeking a quality-driven and efficient professional to join our team as a Pasteurizer.â¯In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for the pasteurization of raw milk. You will maintain proper and efficient operation of all pasteurizing, blending, separating, and product transfer systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaboratesâ¯with Milk Receivers to ensure proper product rotation of raw milk inventory.â¯
Works closely with the plant laboratory to ensure products are formulated and tested to meet plant requirements
Blends, mixes, and prepares products for production
Deliver product to fillers to avoid downtime on production linesâ¯
Minimize product loss
Responsible for pulling product samples and documenting to the lab as necessary
Alert leaders of any Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes which become non-compliant with specified requirements
Assists in dumping reprocess daily and maintains documentation
This is an active position that requires constant focus and activity. Pasteurizers are involved in pasteurizing, blending, and cleaning continuously
Perform all necessary Clean in Place (CIP) of all tanks, line circuits, and associated equipment
Monitor and document chemical concentrations to ensure proper cleaning of all equipment
Perform regular gasket replacement and valve inspections as directed by supervision
Record all necessary documentation on HTST and CIP recording charts to maintain regulatory compliance
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Overtime and weekend work is occasionally required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Stand on your feet constantly during your shift
Working in a humid environment that fluctuates from warm to cold seasonally
May be required to work in cold, damp environments and be exposed to the outside weather
