Role Summary At Rivian, the Mechatronics Engineer is a critical bridge between design, quality, and real-world performance. You will lead the identification and resolution of quality issues for the VHE Systems team, working cross-functionally to ensure that every system meets our rigorous standards. You will not only manage the "cradle to grave" quality lifecycle but also get hands-on by instrumenting vehicles and executing validation tests to verify that our fixes are robust and adventure ready. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (Masters Preferred) 3+ years' of relevant experience in automotive systems development or equivalent industry experience. Advanced proficiency in six sigma methodology and root cause analysis tools to drive technical issues to closure. Experience in systems engineering, controls, and functional safety with experience working with complex mechatronics systems (both sensing and actuating) Comprehensive understanding of vehicle electrical architecture, including component interfacing and low to high speed communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet. Pay Disclosure Salary Range Irvine-Based Applicants: $85,600-$107,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law).
