How We Figured This One Out

Here’s how we gathered our hot dog data.

For cities, we analyzed data from the reputable Hot Dog Organization, focusing on hot dog orders and city size to identify which cities consume the most hot dogs relative to their population.

For states, we took a creative approach since specific consumption or order data was not readily available. We turned to Google Search Trends, examining search queries related to hot dog recipes, cooking tips, and locations to buy hot dogs. Higher search volumes indicate a greater love for hot dogs in that state.

We also researched interesting hot dog facts from trusted sources, including the Hot Dog Organization, to bring you fun trivia.
