Perform alignments and front-end related repairs on car and light trucks. Responsible for delivering prompt, courteous and professional service to STTC internal and external customers. • Recognize problems related to a car or light truck's alignment
• Properly perform required alignment adjustments and potential repairs to a vehicle's front end.
• Raise vehicles with hydraulic jack or lifts, and can use air tools and heavy hand held tools.
• Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Use all provided safety equipment such as gloves, jackstands, wheel chocks, safety glasses. Communicates equipment needs. Report all tools or equipment that need repair or that are broken. Report all unsafe actions, problems or abnormal situations to Service Manager or Branch Manager.
• Perform daily maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Review service work orders for complete information such as required customer information, repairs performed and parts used before giving to Service Manager or office.
• Keep service department clean and organized.

+ Performs general service work, changing tires and tubes, making alignments, making tire/tube repairs, installing auto supplies and parts, brakes, shocks, muffler and exhaust system, etc.
+ Completely understand the following: Ackerman steering theory, angle and steering axis inclination, setback, ride height, king pin offset, and the 4 main components in a wheel alignment (caster, chamber, toe, and thrust angle)
+ Perform repairs such as brake jobs, king pin replacements, wheel and service, steering box and steering component replacement, suspension component replacement, and more
+ Diagnose H.D. vehicles by identifying alignment related issues and/or any other existing issues that could negatively impact the safe operation of the vehicle
+ Component inspection of: wheel ends, steering, axles, brackets, suspension, frames to determine excessive wear, hangers, torque arms, broken parts, and safety issues
+ Repair or replace faulty parts, following visual observation or required testing
+ Operate alignment equipment and computer system
