POSITION OVERVIEW
The Security Specialist ensures the premises, personnel, and students are secure at all times. This position patrols the campus and monitors the surveillance equipment to prevent any breaches of security.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Know all of the duties and procedures specified in the American Heritage “Safety & Security Procedures” manual and perform duties as assigned to security personnel as specified in the manual.
Maintain a secure environment by patrolling assigned posts on foot or in a vehicle.
Must be at post at all times until relieved by a Security Specialist.
Conduct roving patrols.
Protect, secure, and provide assistance to the personnel, students, guests, visitors, and/or property of the school.
Entry of reports.
Prepare and maintain daily logs and records of incidents and hazardous conditions.
Direct traffic. Issue citations for speeding, parking, and other violations of rules and regulations. Take statements from principles and witnesses of infractions and issue reports to the Director of Security. Perform traffic control to enforce speed limits.
Limit access to the property by vehicles and personnel traffic.
Screen employees, guests, and visitors to the school facilities by closely reviewing ID badges and other means of identification.
Monitor security alarms and fire systems. Assist Principals with students during a fire evacuation, fire drills, evacuations, lockdowns, or other emergency situations.
Protect property from the danger of sabotage, espionage, and intrusion. Detect and observe any unusual or abnormal conditions; assess the situation and institute emergency procedures via radio or telephone.
Act to prevent further destruction or loss of property, protect people, or overcome and apprehend persons who precipitated the emergency.
Respond to alarms and/or telephone/radio calls by determining and taking appropriate action.
Monitor the visitor sign-in/sign-out log; record the visitor's name, address, and place visited and direct them to the appropriate office or arrange for escorts when needed.
Maintain radio communication with other Security Specialists and the Director of Security.
Relay messages and dispatch patrols and equipment to meet routine and emergency situations.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Diesel Technician position is to repair and maintain ALL mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and air conditioning systems on our fleet of school buses, light and heavy-duty vehicles. Responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems. The position is responsible for the maintenance parts and repair operation of the school division's bus fleet and other vehicles so that the fleet will be kept in a state of operating excellence so that vehicles present no problems or interruptions to the educational program. Fleet operations and repairs shall meet and be in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Directed by the Fleet Manager to repair and maintain operations for ALL mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems on our fleet of school buses, light and heavy-duty vehicles, including garage operations.
Build and assemble machines or mechanical components that meet and comply with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies.
Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, etc., and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
Perform maintenance on machinery, equipment, vehicles, and systems.
Provide thorough documentation
Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
Service and schedule buses for maintenance at the directive of the Fleet Manager
Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
Performs tire work for the purpose of ensuring all buses and equipment are operating on safe tires (e.g. changing, balancing)
Tire repairs; lube oil and filter changes; minor electrical repairs (bulbs, flashers, fuses); mirror replacement; minor road service; service fuels and fluids.
SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain inventory of parts and supplies
Facilitate the transport of various items(e.g. tools, equipment, supplies) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at the job site
Responds to emergency situations during and outside regular work hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns, including emergency breakdowns and service
Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
Recommend the usage of company-owned vehicles
Undertake other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Proven experience as a Diesel Technician
Valid certification (e.g. ASE) is preferred
Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is a definite plus
Experience with International and Cummins engines preferred
Preferred to possess own mechanic's tools needed to perform the required duties
A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) class B minimum preferred not required. The P & S endorsement is preferred
2 years of minimum experience on diesel engines
Diagnostic and repair
ASE or equivalent certifications are a plus
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
If teaching in the Academy Program, provide expert differentiated instruction and demonstrate strategies for meeting the needs of students with mild learning differences
Manage facility and equipment for specialized instructional areas such as Science, Engineering, etc. as warranted. Examples include Science and Engineering labs, Environmental Education Center, Dance rooms, Theaters, Gymnasium, Weight Room, etc.
Coordinate and attend events for specialized instructional areas as warranted including but not limited to Open House, Pre-Professional Education Night, Fine Arts Festival, Theater Productions, Band and Orchestra Concerts, School Fairs/Contests, District and State Competitions
Ensure the effective and efficient deployment of classroom support from teaching assistants; evaluate teacher assistants annually
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Preferred minimum three years teaching experience in a K-12 instructional setting
Valid Florida State Teaching License or single subject teaching credential, certification and/or experience in a specialized subject; ESOL endorsed, ESE certification preferred
B.A./B.S. in education from an accredited institution or B.F.A. for fine arts instructors
Professional experience in related field

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Food Service Team Member position will perform routine tasks necessary to prepare high-quality meals from simple to complex, adhering to food safety regulations, assist in keeping the kitchen orderly and clean, as well as, providing the utmost customer service experience for all students, faculty, and staff.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Cuts, weighs, or measures ingredients according to provided instructions
Prepares meat, seafood, and poultry for cooking by cutting or grinding, as instructed
Prepares vegetables to be used as condiments
Combines salad ingredients
Arranges prepared food on serving trays or in designated area for retrieval by serving staff
Prevents the spoilage of ingredients through proper storage in designated containers and in designated areas
Monitors the temperature of food and food storage areas
Maintains and cleans salad bars and buffet line
Ensures utensils and condiment area is adequately stocked
Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains cleanliness of work areas, surfaces, utensils, equipment, and dishes
Adheres to all food handling and safety regulations throughout the kitchen and serving area
Manage transactions with students, faculty, and staff
Scan and/or collect payments
Print and provide register totals to Director of Food Services at the end of each day
Washes all wares including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils
Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam
Moves dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks
May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
Ensures work areas remain safe, clean and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation
