We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. A CNC operator must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metals and their properties is essential.
Responsibilities
Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
Determine the appropriate tooling and forming methods based on drawing requirements
Set up machines in according to specifications
Misc manufacturing processes. Package, Countersink, Time Save, deburr, Daily machine P.M.
Align components using calipers, rulers, clamp pieces, etc.
Assemble fabricated components
Repair machinery and other components as needed
CAD design (Solidworks) as needed
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Requirements
Proven working experience as CNC Laser Operator, CNC Brak Operator, & CAD (Solidworks) - 5 years
Experience using a variety CNC fabrication equipment. Setup and calculation of bend deduction and part adjustments for material compensation.
Experience adjusting CNC Laser/Brakes. Nest and sheet utilization
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Use measuring equipment. (Calipers & Tape measures)
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
Deftness and attention to detail
Stand for long periods of time 6 - 8 hours a day
Lift-up to 50-80 lbs.
Able to obtain a forklift certification
Team Player and ability to work overtime when required.
