Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated Architect or experienced Architectural Designer to join our interdisciplinary design team. In this role, you will leverage your architectural expertise to conceptualize and execute design solutions that meet our clients' needs while pushing the boundaries of creativity and functionality. Architectural License highly preferred but not required. Responsibilities Lead the design process from concept through completion, ensuring creative and practical solutions align with project goals and client vision. Develop detailed architectural plans, digital models, and presentations that effectively communicate design intent and concepts while adhering to the project parameters and budget. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to achieve design excellence and project delivery. Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with zoning and regulatory requirements. Complete, assist, and/or lead comprehensive Code Review and Life Safety Analysis. Internal time management skills and adhering to the budgeted hours of the project delivery. Required Qualifications 5 to 8+ years of experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse project types. Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Extensive proficiency in Revit and the Adobe Creative Suite. Superb comprehension of architectural principles, building codes, zoning research, and life safety code research. Ability to execute Construction Documents with basic oversight from the Director of Architecture. Ability to coordinate with engineering consultants and present yourself professionally to clients. Previous Construction Administration experience. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budgets. Internal time management skills while executing multiple projects. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and exhibit past examples of taking initiatives to push the project forward. Preferred Qualifications Licensed Architect in the State of Louisiana highly preferred Experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools. Experience in Enscape for Revit is a strong plus. Experience in Architectural Specification writing Experience with Cost Estimating and RS Means. Experience in Public Work and Advertisement process Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies Extensive expertise in architectural design software, including Revit. Experience with building information modeling (BIM) and collaborative project management tools such as BIM 360. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. Experience in Microsoft Excel is a plus. Soft Skills and Cultural Fit Creative thinker with a passion for design and architecture. Will be discussed with manager in interview REQUIREMENT- Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen Duties/Responsibilities: Possess and maintain proficiency in the knowledge of building codes and references related to construction of facilities and surrounding site work. Ability to read and understand requirements described on construction drawings. Perform architectural planning, design, construction support, and maintenance evaluation activities related to government buildings, test stands, and laboratory facilities, including the development of facilities design criteria statements, drawings, and specifications. Evaluate, select, and apply standard architectural and interior design principles and theory to facilities related projects. Perform field investigations of existing facilities as required to accomplish assigned tasks. Coordinate architectural work with other design team members in a total design process, to produce contract design drawings for construction activities. Support the development of cost estimates associated with proposed construction activities. Review construction submittals to ensure proper requirements are met. Respond to Requests for Information (RFI's) developed during the construction period. Participate in pre-final and final inspections. Verify accuracy of red-lined drawings produced by the Construction Contractor. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited architectural program Intent to obtain Registered Architect professional status Three or more years' experience is a plus Experience in architectural design conforming to International Building Code standards is a plus Ability to manage projects throughout the planning, design, and construction document phases, performing calculations, design drafting, reviewing of construction submittals, responding to requests for information, etc., is a plus Ability and willingness to assist designers, drafters, and other staff members in various ways that contribute to successful completion of design deliverables Knowledge and demonstrated experience in Autodesk or Bentley Microstation CAD Must have a valid motor vehicle driver's license and be insurable. Physical Requirements: Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments Ability to carry required instruments and equipment. Ability to safely lift 20 pounds.
