Job Title: Interior Designer III Salary: Based on experience and other relevant factors. Read and understand requirements described in construction documents associated with interior design. Participate in pre-final and final construction inspections. Verify accuracy of red-lined drawings produced by the Construction Contractor. Assist client Project Managers as needed during all phases of facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance activities. Maintain orderly working files for reference as needed. Qualifications: Required: Master's in a STEM field 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects Active Secret clearance Missile Defense experience Be able to accomplish the duties by working with minimal guidance Desired: Knowledge of hypersonic weapons and their capabilities and limitations Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) with emphasis on PowerPoint Working knowledge of MDS components, architectures and concepts Familiarity and past experience with MDA and/or other complex MDS Elements Experience in a military operational environment Preferred Navy veteran that held a position such as an Aegis Weapon System EDO or Joint Interface Control Officer, or alternatively an Army/Air Force veteran that understands MDS Elements such as THAAD/LTAMDS/Sentinel/ PATRIOT/GMD Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems. In-depth practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge. Working knowledge of missile defense system components and mission. Familiarity with DOD and MDA processes and procedures. Ability to work in a high-paced environment while coordinating with multiple organizations and leadership. Proficient with Microsoft software applications. Ability to execute and complete tasks with no supervision. Ability to travel 20-25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
