Job Summary:
An innovative leader responsible for the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program and personalized client solutions while reflecting the company's ethos around people, processes, products and brand. The role requires translating client needs into actionable design concepts, conducting insightful in-home consultations, and fortifying sales teams with design expertise. This position is instrumental in elevating the design culture and is held to the utmost standards of professionalism and integrity.
Training Pay: $20 per hour for 2-6 weeks (no commission)
Average Earning Potential After Training: $50,000 - $80,000 (inclusive of base, commission and bonus)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(other duties as assigned):
Process:
Promote the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program to draft potential design solutions, present customized portfolio presentations tailored to the client's requirements and preferences to achieve or surpass store and individual design sales goals.
Achieve annual operating benchmarks, and personal objectives.
Schedule and conduct in-home consultations to understand client's unique needs, preferences, and vision for their space.
People:
Partner with Store and Sales Managers to provide coaching, training, and support to sales teams to improve design culture, product knowledge, sales techniques, strategies, and overall in-home design performance.
Collaborate with the team to ensure execution of operational excellence.
Brand Advocacy:
Create design concepts and digital presentation with finish selections, furnishings, and decor.
Translate the client's lifestyle, taste, and budget into actionable design recommendations.
Operations:
Ensure proper execution of all existing and new systems and administrative procedures.
Support store management with weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings.
Support store management with the execution of special projects and promotions.
Adhere to legal and efficient accounting practices.
Uphold brand visual standards in the store by ensuring cleanliness in employee and customer areas.
SCOPE & IMPACT:
This position holds significant influence over the store's financial health, team morale and development, operational efficiency, and the overall customer experience and reputation in the community. This position reports to the Store Manager of the assigned location with indirect influence of sales team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: bachelor's degree; or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2-3 years in sales or interior design, with a residential emphasis.
Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, computer-aided design programs, financial understanding, adept interpersonal communication, analytical abilities, goal orientation, team management, and customer service.
Other: Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Valid Driver's License
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Design Certification
Advanced interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit & experience in building effective relationships.

Commission & Bonus: Earn more with UNCAPPED commission on written sales - 3.5% on La-Z-Boy Design Sales and 2% on other sales, other than La-Z-Boy Design Sales. Monthly bonus opportunity of $0 - $2,000 based on your ability to meet specific individual sales goals
The Total Compensation Range is at least the local applicable minimum wage and up to the high-earning average target for this role. Individual pay is based on various factors, including geographic location, personal performance and relevant qualifications, experience, skills, and education. The Project Architect is responsible for the production and coordination of a complete and thorough set of detailed construction documents. The Project Architect may serve as sole designer on small projects or work in a team under the direction of a Project Manager or Senior Project Architect on a larger project. The Project Architect will provide guidance and direction to Project Specialists, Architects and Interns assigned to project teams. The Project Architect has the opportunity to take on a leadership role in the firm.
Responsibilities (others may be assigned):
COMMUNICATION
Make presentations to the public, owners, boards and other interested parties
Provide mentorship to junior staff
Provide leadership to staff assigned to project team including; Management of staff assignments; Daily staff compliance with office rules and procedures
COLLABORATION
Independently or in conjunction with Project Manager consult with client to determine requirements of the project, develop studies or reports and propose solutions
Lead project design efforts within a collaborative team structure
Contribute to the development of design concepts for design projects of all types and scales
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Represent clients in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts
Ensure project budgets, schedules and deadlines are met and communicated to the client
Request consultant proposals, review scope and fee, and make recommendations for hire
Review coordination of consultant work into project design documents
Coordinate, plan agenda, attend, and lead project design meetings
Maintain communication of project status and staff needs to team leadership
Attend construction meetings, observe construction status and issue field reports
STANDARDS AND CODES
Oversee and direct research on products, code and ordinances to determine compliance and make recommendations and implement to project team
Lead and conduct periodic on-site observation of the work during construction to monitor conformance with the construction documents
Review all appropriate codes and implement on projects
Utilize freehand sketching, computer, and graphic resources to effectively and efficiently analyze and convey design concepts or solutions
Redline, review, and ensure quality of design documentation at all phases of design
Review all technical work for accuracy and recommend changes to clients as required
Maintain ongoing development of office standards and enforce through redlines
Apply knowledge of alternative construction materials and assemblies, as well as sustainable technology to project design documents
Edit Specifications for issuance with the contract documents
Review and approve shop drawings
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Maintain relationship with the client after project completion and provide follow-up as needed
Participate in continuing education seminars and professional activities to maintain current knowledge in the industry
Requirements
Desired Qualifications/Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture
Licensed Architect. Ability to obtain licensure in the state of employment.
Ability to Travel between the Office and Client/Job Sites. Valid Drivers License and access to insured vehicle during business hours
Extensive knowledge of ArchitecturalDesign
Eight to ten years of Architectural experience
Advanced Proficiency in Revit ,BIM software, Photoshop
Understanding of Building code applications and ability to perform code studies
Understands land use regulatory process and can perform zoning research
Ability to interpret sketches, plans, specifications
Ability to analyze and solve drafting problems
Familiarity with various Building materials
Ability to work in a team environment to achieve desired results
Ability to coach and mentor staff
Knowledge of project specifications & CSI division formatting
Strong organizational, time management & multitasking skills
Able to modify communications both oral and written based on the intended audience; team members, clients, venders, leadership, etc.

Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC, a growing Lumber and Building Materials company, is seeking an experienced Truss Designer with at least 5 years of Truss Designing experience.
Under general supervision, this position creates truss placement plans, truss design drawings and truss quotes along with providing technical support to customers and sales representatives related to truss components for residential and commercial projects. The position is an office position that requires the use of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties include:
Using proprietary software, produce floor and roof truss placement plans, truss design drawings and truss quotes using your ability to understand blueprints and customer requirements for specific projects.
Determine design specifications based on blueprints and structural design needs.
Review other designers work as part of a double check system to reduce design errors prior to putting paperwork into manufacturing.
Create shop paperwork that is optimized and batch for efficiency based on equipment used in manufacturing.
Communicate with customers, general contractors, and sales staff on technical aspects of plans which require clarification from customer, Architect or Engineer. Document communication with said parties using excel spreadsheet and saved emails.
Consult with experienced component technicians and management when more in-depth analysis is required.
Plan and pace your own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attend periodic safety meetings as required; recommend changes to improve safety procedures.

Essential Job Requirements include:
Knowledge of company products sufficient to determine appropriate structural applications.
A minimum of 5 years of Truss Designing experience.
Use of proprietary software for construction design.
Strong attention to detail.

Mathematics and measurement skills.
