Architecture / Design Background - Preferably residential design, licensing is not required.

As the Voice of the Customer for A&D you will also work to tell the story of the Custom Studio to both internal and external parties in collaboration with MK marketing teams. Emphasis on teamwork, leadership, creativity, ability to delegate work to proper MK resources/partners and approaching project objectives with a business development attitude, bent for commercial success of the studio and MillerKnoll.
Essential Function:
* Architecture, Furniture Sales, or Interior Design background and familiarity with the A&D process and how to navigate co-creation around bespoke solutions.
* Efficiently filter work with Studio Leadership to determine best course for MillerKnoll success whether it's a creative studio development engagement, efficient reuse, or redirection to MK standard product or other better fitting resources.
* Works with MillerKnoll Marketing teams to tell the story of the Custom Studio through internal and external channels. Shares messaging thorough customer engagements in West Michigan and around North America.

Principal Responsibilities
Direct and train Geotechnical Designers to complete reports, exhibits, plans, and specifications per project scope.
Lead design efforts for civil site projects, creating detailed designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software and IMEG standards.
Oversee projects through conceptual, planning, bidding, and construction administration phases.
Coordinate and manage geotechnical and construction materials testing project activities.
Inspect work, troubleshoot field quality control issues, and provide recommendations for corrections.
Interact with clients to gather requirements, communicate technical information, and build strong relationships.
Support project execution, planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines and objectives.
Document design decisions and monitor project progress related to percent complete and fee expended.
Analyze engineering problems, propose solutions, and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices; contribute to research and innovation.
Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance; interpret and apply state and local design criteria.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Identify potential project problems and seek guidance from the Project Manager.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required
Master of Science (MS) Degree in Civil Engineering preferred
3 years of experience minimum required, 4 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required
Knowledge of industry standard engineering software, (e.g., primarily Civil 3D, gINT, LPILE, DeepEx, etc.).
Proficient with pipe networking and road corridors.
Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications (helpful in crafting geotechnical recommendations)
Strong technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in the geotechnical engineering field
Ability to train and mentor less experienced staff
Able to lead teams with others that utilize industry standard software that assists with civil engineering analysis and design
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Excellent technical writing skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook

What you'll do as a Fire Alarm CAD Drafter/DesignerDesign 2D drawings, submittal and record/as-built (system drawings, bill of material, compile operating manuals, calculations etc.) for fire alarm systems under the instruction of the design manager. Manage CAD files, document revisions and engineering documents per company standards.
What you'll need as a Fire Alarm CAD Drafter/Designer:
Proficient with AutoCAD and FireCAD (recent versions)
Must have Drafting degree or certificate
Proficient with MS Office Software, specifically Excel
Reliable and able to take direction well
Self-motivated and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and ability to focus on multiple projects at a time
Additional skills that are a plus:

Duties:
-Assist in planning, developing, and executing technical documentation which may include interpreting, organizing, and coordinating project team assignments
