Job DescriptionDescription: JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the drafting and engineering of highly detailed shop drawings to be submitted to clients for approval, as well as given to fabrication for production of monumental quality architectural millwork, cabinetry, and furniture for luxury residential environments. Research production requirements and specifications, as well as new technologies. Creates and manages project-specific detail book and CAD blocks. Monitors and manages the project drafting team by reviewing and redlining project drawings. Works closely with the Project Management team to ensure schedule and monumental quality are maintained. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following: Field measurements (i.e., benchmarks, datum lines) Define and create a detailed book for the assigned work Ability to generate detailed submittal drawings and to incorporate design changes and field dimension corrections as needed, and work with project teams. Ability to manage and utilize information flow from the project team, both internally and externally Collaborate with other engineers and draftspersons inside and outside of the organization Interface with customers and internal project management to ensure design concepts meet the client's needs, and drawing releases meet schedule timelines Interface with the fabrication team to ensure an accurate understanding of required details and quality control Provides project management with status updates, correspondence, and appropriate reporting utilizing the company's software and systems.
