Job Description
This role is field-based, and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.
Promote a product to meet/exceed sales goals in community/private practices as well as hospitals/health systems.
Identify/uncover customer needs (training, clinical, operational, reimbursement) and address with appropriate AbbVie resources.
Expert delivery of anatomical/procedural information and training, including the appropriate use of anatomical terminology to train injection paradigms/postures while highlighting various anatomical and injection insights and considerations.
Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and other key hospital personnel.
Collaborate with other Account Specialist to promote the product for approved indications and execute individual, department, or group resident/fellow trainings within hospital/health system accounts.
Comply with all company policies, required reports, requests and promotional compliance and effectively manages AbbVie field assets.
Effectively utilize AbbVie's sales and data resources to enhance productivity and growth of AbbVie products while implementing U.S. Marketing Plan.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
Relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor's degree is at least five (5) years of technical experience with three (3) or more years of experience within sales preferred and a high school diploma/GED required
Documented history of strong sales performance, preferably in a clinical/technical/consultative sales role with multiple decision makers is preferred.
Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products is preferred, in both health systems and private practice.

The local "ecosystem approach" creates a unified focus among account management, medical, patient access and market access to engage local healthcare systems and identify opportunities to improve the patient experience. Through this matrix model, customers will now experience more coordinated and seamless care with digital-enabled support to bridge care gaps.
In Otsuka's evolved customer engagement model, a Health Science Associates (HSA) will engage HCPs through a variety of in-person, virtual and digital tools, offering expanded expertise regarding products and the approved conditions they treat. Otsuka's Clinical & Scientific Liaison (CSL) will provide deep clinical expertise on-demand and will engage healthcare providers to offer personalized education on disease state, thought leadership and real-world evidence. A Patient Education Liaison (PEL) works to inform, educate, and enhance the experience of patients throughout their care continuum.
The HSAs are led by Ecosystem Leads and grouped into regional areas. Ecosystem Leads are led by Regional Leads with significant autonomy to assess unique market priorities and customize decisions that reflect local customer needs. **Position Overview** **- Medical** **Science Liaison** **(Senior Manager)**
As an integral member of the ecosystem team for Otsuka's new ecosystem-based customer engagement model, the Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Sr Mgr contributes to the development of the ecosystem strategic business plan and identifies key stakeholders that are vital to the ecosystem.
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a credible partner responsible for providing clinical, scientific and health economic information related to disease states and the appropriate utilization of approved Otsuka products within an ecosystem. This field-based position will engage with Key Influencers (KIs), Local Practice Leaders (LPLs), healthcare providers, and patients' groups within their ecosystem, to further patient outcomes aligned with the overarching objectives of Otsuka. In collaboration with their ecosystem partners, CSLs contribute to the customization of the region business strategy to meet local ecosystem needs and are responsible for the medical and educational requirements of their customers. In addition, CSLs may be responsible for covering multiple products within a therapeutic area, as well as engaging in broad clinical and scientific discussions that impact patient care, resulting in rich customer insights shared within the ecosystem.

+ Assist with Otsuka's clinical trials program, including registrational, post-marketing and Investigator-Sponsored Trials (ISTs), health economic outcomes research, other specific medical collaborations; provide clinical expertise and feedback regarding operational management of clinical trials to ensure optimal site selection and performance.

Job Description
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

The Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry is responsible for the overall coordination and processing of patient medication orders, to include order intake within regulatory boundaries, customer service coordination, and pharmacy technician duties as defined by policy and regulation and while under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verify information on prescriptions received prior to processing (correct prescriber, name of patient, patient information, medication, dose, quantity, number of refills).
Perform order entry of new and refill prescription orders.
Attend to customer's needs and requests regarding their prescription while securing HIPAA information.
Answer questions and requests, responding to and referring inquiries to the Pharmacist when necessary.
Prepare and maintain patient profile, medication administration records, and other documents as needed with notation for pharmacist's review.
Triage and file prescriptions according to their eligibility for refill.
Follow HIPAA and PSEUDOEPHEDRINE law guidelines and any other local or federal laws.
Maintain all records including prescription logs and related files.
Prepare and submit claims for account to ensure timely reimbursement and resubmit rejections as needed.
Evaluate all completed prescriptions/authorizations to ensure that the appropriate information has been obtained to allow for reimbursement as well as compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Perform problem solving on prescription orders, including Refill Too Soon.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent
One (1) year of previous pharmacy technician experience with exposure to all functional areas (Prescription data entry, medical records, etc.)
One (1) year of experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services
Registered and licensed pharmacy technician by the Kentucky/Indiana Board of Pharmacy in good standing
Advanced knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numerals), brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Completion of a pharmacy technician training program approved by the Indiana Board of Pharmacy

* Set up and execute laboratory tests, review results, and release findings in accordance with ZRL Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on analyzers, including but not limited to, daily, weekly, monthly, and as needed maintenance
* Perform basic analyzer troubleshooting techniques on one major department analyzer
* Review and accept daily Quality Control reports and weekly Levey-Jennings charts
