What you'll do:
* Responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, and wearing proper PPE Perform work in a manner that supports Eaton Quality standards and systems
* Assemble small and large components to form sub-assemblies or completed assemblies using hand tools, air tools, rivet guns, operate the base robot and sub assembly machines. Build devices per drawing, routing, and work instructions.
* Perform quality checks consistent with the Inspection and control plans.
* Inventory/replenish parts to assembly stations. Use the Kanban system to assure availability of parts
* Read orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures such as component types and configuration, mounting locations and clearances required.
* Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and maintain 5S in the area
* Work with various groups of employees in team-based environment, cross train on all assembly lines and help train new employees. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
* Working knowledge of assembly machinery and tools

* Ability to lift 40 pounds or less, repeatedly
* Ability to stand and walk throughout working shift
* Ability to work overtime as needed
* Lift 40 pounds repeatedly and able to safely team lift items exceeding that weight and able to stand/walk for a working shift

This is an independent contractor position. This job is based completely on piecework. Compensation is paid by the finished piece - in which each assembler gets paid for each item they build.
