Position is responsible for the assembly of components as specified by customer work orders, engineering process routers, blueprints and any applicable code or specification.
Accountabilities: Assemblers are responsible for producing conforming components that meet all blueprint dimensions within the said tolerances; any moving parts must operate correctly. Cleanliness and preservation of internal components must be maintained along with the final appearance of the component. All SOP's and WI's must be followed, and a safe, clean and organized work area must be maintained.
Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished component.
Use torque wrenches and understands torque methods and sequencing.
Use precision measuring instruments.
Operate hand tools and other shop equipment such as grinders, jitter bugs, drills, etc.
Install thread inserts, keenserts and fasteners.
Operate and trouble shoot equipment such as electro etchers, hydro test pumps, vacuum pumps, etc.
Perform material handling functions using fork trucks, overhead cranes, etc.
Enter correct data into data collection system (IDC) and ensure accurate labor reporting.
Understand and properly operate the “Available Documents” program.
Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of equipment and work area on a daily basis.

AS A CENTRIFUGAL ASSEMBLER, YOU WILL:
Assemble and/or disassemble mechanical and electrical components, using precision tools and proper techniques, according to engineering drawings (QII/Work Instructions) and specifications.
Inspect parts and completed assemblies for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and identifying any issues that may need correction.
Use measuring devices, operate electro-mechanical assembly and testing equipment, and tools to assure product is manufactured to the required specifications.
Utilize various assembly tools and machines like power tools, torque wrenches, and automated equipment to perform tasks efficiently.
Utilize lifts, overhead hoists, and motorized wheeled equipment to move products around the work cell as needed.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
Keep tools, equipment, and all aspects of the assembly work areas straight, organized, and clean daily.
Understand how to read part detail and assembly drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations for finished work piece.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex drawings/specifications.

Mix epoxies according to company formulas
Bond or seals parts or assemblies with epoxies using direct heating elements or ovens and performs a variety of in-process testing

Ability to record test data into computer.
Maintains proper paper work throughout the assembly process.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Background
