*Recognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions and make corrections or notify the proper person to correct
*Perform rework as necessary
*Perform machine set-up as required
*Instruct and train assigned operators on work tasks, safety procedures, proper use of equipment and the importance of performing to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality standards
*Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required
*Meet or exceed production requirements or notify Team Lead or Manager of reason of deviation from standard
*Work safely at all times and comply with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devices
*Keep work area, equipment, machine, etc. clean and orderly at all times
*Perform necessary computer transactions in various computer applications and software programs
*Offer suggestions for improving productivity, process, safety, or work environment

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive assignments and instructions from supervisor - both oral and written.
Read, understand, and follow guidelines set forth by job expectations; M.P.s, S.P.s, bill of materials, SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and blueprints when performing assigned work.
Select proper materials and parts for assembly operations.
Setup and layout materials and tools for all assembly operations.
Mix and apply epoxy and /or insulating compounds where specified.
Use hand and air tools, brazing equipment, crimpers, oil processing equipment, drill presses, punch, band saw, cranes, hydraulic jacks, scales, micrometer, square, etc.
Maintain the required clearances and dimensions for the voltage classifications specified (ref: SP's).
Set up stacking tables, stacking fixtures, and assemble core laminations.
Set up LTC and bushing simulators and photograph process
Land coils on stacked cores, prepare and install insulation, blocking, clamping, and banding to conform to requirements.
Confined space entry
Hot Work: (ex: brazing, grinding, welding,- anything that produces a hot flame).
Crimp and braze mag wire, cable and bus.
Assemble and mount tap switches, gauges, meters, conduit, accessories and parts.
Wire controls and components per design specifications.
Provide assistance to the supervisor in on-the-job orientation and training of other employees.

Select proper materials and parts for assembly operations.
Setup and layout materials and tools for all assembly operations.
Mix and apply epoxy and /or insulating compounds where specified.

Maintain the required clearances and dimensions for the voltage classifications specified (ref: SP's).

What you'll do - As an Assembler B, you will:
Wire gas turbine units and controls; troubleshoot wiring issues and perform hand-machining as needed.
Assemble/disassemble testing equipment and components, including gas, air, and hydro connections.
Read and interpret drawings, wiring lists, schematics, and shop documents.
Lift and position sub-components using cranes, hoists, and manual methods; bolt and torque parts to specifications.
Align and adjust components; maintain and record quality control data.
Use various tools and equipment such as power tools, measuring devices, cranes, lifts, and bending tools.
Work collaboratively in a team, support problem-solving, continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring:
Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Experience: 3 years of mechanical/electrical experience in a manufacturing environment using electrical, pneumatic, and manual hand tools OR a certified technical program with 1+ years experience.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in milling, turning, and grinding processes. Must be able to use and read manual gauges, micrometers, calipers, and tape measure.
Work Environment: Ability to work 3rd shift (11 PM - 7 AM).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear necessary PPE with or without reasonable accommodation. Role may require climbing and working at height.
Other Requirements: Must pass an assembler assessment, background check, and drug screening. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Pay Rate: The pay for this position is $24.61-$25.87.

Read and interpret blueprints, material lists, planning and methods specifications, and related shop documents.
Manually or with jib, floor crane, hoists, etc., position and align rotor or unit components and accessories and drill, ream, dowel, fit, bolt up, etc.
Make necessary alignments of parts, assemblies, accessories using standard and special mechanical, optical or other devices.
Apply standard and special measuring devices such as manual gauges, micrometers, calipers, and tape measures, and maintain required quality checks and records
Perform work on ladders, scaffolding and on floor in fixed open floor workstations and on Gas Turbine main unit.
Use equipment including assembly stands, fixtures, hand and power tools, miscellaneous pneumatic and electric power wrenches, sanders, and grinders.
May be assigned to lesser skill assembly and related operational contents.
Collaborate as part of a team and perform other related tasks as required. May be required to outline the work of others to accomplish tasks as one team.
What you'll bring

What You Will Do:
* Assemble electronic parts and components precisely following engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions. This involves proficiently using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve accurate and efficient assembly results. You apply job skills and company procedures to complete assignments, under direct supervision.
* Perform routine tasks with close attention to detail and precision during the assembly process. Your primary responsibility will be to align, secure, and accurately connect components to ensure their optimal functionality and adherence to quality standards.
* Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines to uphold a secure work environment. Your responsibilities include identifying and addressing potential safety hazards related to the assembly process to ensure a safe and protected workspace for all.
* Strive to meet production targets and deadlines as they are communicated to you, maintaining exceptional standards of quality and craftsmanship throughout your work.
* Primarily engage in seated work at a workstation, prioritizing cleanliness as essential. Your responsibility includes maintaining a tidy environment to boost efficiency and cultivate a focused, organized approach to all tasks at hand.
* Maintain equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functionality.
* Hours: Monday-Friday; 3:30AM-12:00PM and work overtime, including weekends, as needed
What you will learn
* Learn the advanced techniques and adhere to the rigorous standards of J Standard soldering essential in electronics manufacturing.
* Develop the ability to interpret blueprints accurately.
* Gain insights into continuous improvement methodologies like Kaizen and 5S, fostering a culture of efficiency and innovation within the workplace.
Qualifications You Must Have:
* Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer
* A foundational understanding of manufacturing processes and a willingness to learn and optimize production methods.
* Previous electronics experience.
* Basic proficiency in blueprint reading or a willingness to develop this skill under guidance
* Basic soldering experience or are enthusiastic about gaining hands-on skills in soldering techniques
