Performs setups and adjustments of machinery for assembling metal chain parts
Interprets job specifications and reads blueprints.

Coordinates with others to achieve maximum throughput and meet department and company goals.
Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and workplace safety regulations.
Operates material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, cranes and hoists.

Packs finished assemblies into cartons in preparation for storage or shipment. Visibly check parts for defects prior to packing and inserts operator number in containers.
Limited housekeeping is required to maintain workstation in neat, orderly condition.
Reports malfunctions, breakdowns, and other delays immediately to the set up person.
Advises the material handler of material needs.
Performs other similar tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Employees uses initiative in conducting recurring assignments to fabricate and assemble products by using drawings, sketches, and verbal direction
Must be proficient in some forms of process and tack wielding; basic electrical skills including lay out and mount conduit and pull & terminate wire; lay out, cut &thread, and mount piping systems; set and align motors, pumps, other mechanical components etc.; lay out, set, level & align furnace drive systems.
Employees will be required to use overhead cranes and fork trucks to set up and/or move equipment. Will assist in loading and unloading equipment
Perform jobsite installations as part of a field team and as a team leader
Assist in the training of less skilled or less experienced mechanics as directed by plant management
Perform other duties and functions as required.
