All fiber cable assembly technicians are trained on site in basic fiber optic theory, termination and cable processing tasks and procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF A Fiber Optic Cable Assembler: Creating high quality products in a timely manner. Assemblers are required to take ownership of their work and provide mechanical inspection and basic continuity testing before submitting work for final test and approval. Employees are required to demonstrate knowledge and experience in detailed oriented jobs; and accuracy with numbers and part numbers. Communicate effectively with team leader to continuously establish and improve quality on the assembly line. Polished work should be complete and free of any microscopic contamination, residual glue, process slurry, and diamond particles from lapping films. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE OF A Fiber Optic Cable Assembler: Ability to read and understand internal procedures and policies Ability to understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions. The assembler will also read and interpret blueprints, position parts, and connections for the correct fit. 1st Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM What You Will Do In The Role: * Read and interpret, routings, assembly drawings, workstation instructions, part lists and all applicable documentation. * Validate all parts are present prior to beginning job and before moving job to the next step. * Assemble final fan, blower & module products from electrical and mechanical subcomponents. * Perform a wide range of tasks to assemble a fan, blower & module. Tasks include but not limited to: operation of equipment to assemble mechanical subcomponents (i.e. balancing operation) and magnetizing. * Verify specifications and measurements per drawing. * Measure parts using basic measuring tools (i.e. ruler, calipers).
