Responsibilities

* Manages a personal portfolio of no more than 150 prospects with the capacity to give gifts of $25,000 to 250,000 to achieve philanthropic and financial goals of Nationwide Children's Hospital.
* Works with the Vice President of Constituent Giving to develop annual goals. The expectation will be $1M per year with a mature portfolio.
* Secures 100 face to face visits per year.
* Works with Hospital leadership to create case for support materials to inspire benefactors up the giving pyramid.
* Shares experiences, ideas and new directions for Constituent Giving.
* Actively practices moves management through the benefactor life cycle of qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Support the creation of personal and meaningful stewardship deliverables or philanthropic impact reports for top donors, including multi-fund donors, principal and major gift donors and others as determined by giving area or giving level
* Collaborate with Donor Relations colleagues and gift officers to execute basic and/or highly customized plans with actions, supporting the implementation of individual stewardship plans
* Assist in the creation of new initiatives and/or enhance existing deliverables to promote donor retention and inspire further giving from our principal gift level donors
* In consultation with the Director of Donor Relations, collaborate with Special Events and Integrated Marketing and Communications teams on the design and implementation of custom, high-level and unique stewardship activity, events and experiences for Mass General's top donors
* Support the team's management of all aspects of report design and production, including working with vendors, arranging photo shoots, and collaborating across the hospital to ensure accurate content and format
* Collaborate with the Director of Donor Relations for Principal Gift donors to identify new and/or ongoing stewardship communications and deliverables to enhance cultivation and/or donor retention
* Support activity around stewardship reports/deliverables and collaborate with the team and other colleagues on annual endowed fund reports for the effective coordination of stewardship messaging
* Help track monthly and quarterly statistics and update processes, procedures and resources in print and on Development Office intranet. With the Director, Donor Relations, compile measurable results on quantity and effectiveness of reports
* Take an active role in assisting the team with training around best practices and procedures and the ongoing development of key tools and resource guides for gift officers. Prepare training materials and update resources as needed
* Conduct interviews and manage photo and video shoots with physicians and hospital staff as needed
* Promote creativity, initiate new ideas and stewardship efforts, and actively participate in setting team goals and outcomes
* Serve as a resource to Development and hospital colleagues on Donor Relations practices and available resources.
* Proactively participate in professional development opportunities
* Prepare and regularly update progress reports
* Contribute to maintaining positive office morale, even in the face of high work volume and challenging periods
* Take on other office-wide duties at the request of Development leadership

Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree.
