What You'll Bring

Strong working knowledge of analytical techniques such as FTIR, DSC, GCMS, LCMS, and SEM.

As part of the ARPA-H PRINT program, our goal is to develop a fully functional, immunocompetent, bioprinted human liver construct capable of clinical transplantation. Biofabrication is the heart of this mission, where computational design, advanced bioprinting, bioink formulation, bioreactor maturation, and in vivo validation converge to create a viable therapeutic organ.

Responsibilities:
The Research Scientist will be responsible for technical management of this complex and multidisciplinary effort. This role is not only technical-it is strategic, collaborative, and deeply translational. Job Description
We are seeking an Scientist I/AssociateScientist to join BlueSphere Bio's T-cell Receptor (TCR) Discovery team. The incumbent will use state-of-the-art instrumentation and techniques for the identification of TCRs that recognize minor histocompatibility antigens, as well as tumor-associated antigens and neoantigens. Additionally, she/he will work with a group of individuals developing a high-throughput platform that is able to isolate and identify rare antigen-specific T-cells from healthy and patient donor samples. Process, characterize, and coordinate the genotyping of primary human blood/PBMC samples

Key Components
.Responsible for identifying, developing and commercializing new products to deliver cost savings.
* The candidate will be scoping and/or driving highly technical and complex projects to meet the business' platform and Productivity objectives.
* Opportunities will exist to lead/coach junior developers on projects.
* Conduct feasibility assessments, prototype development, costing, supervision of factory trials, development of recipe and factory documentation, recipe and label development, technical approval, shelf-life assessment and technical support for initial factory production.
* Manage multiple assignments projects concurrently and possess the ability to prioritize between a variety of business initiatives
* Commercialization: Deep knowledge of commercialization processes and required activities as the technical/R&D lead. Ability to troubleshoot challenges. Knowledge of project management, basic finance and product costing
* Collaboration: Work with cross functional teams acting as the lead product developer to drive execution across multiple projects
* Communication: Provide updates to cross-functional teams; Identify hurdles and propose solutions
* Demonstrate the ability to develop relationships with and coordinate commercialization activities across internal and external manufacturing facilities.
* Lead and complete product testing, qualification, and commercialization in laboratory and production environments

* Bachelor's Degree (Master's is a Plus) - Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields
* Minimum of 5+ years Product Development and commercialization experience within a CPG or equivalent
* Project management experience, technical expertise, and food science/processing knowledge
* Experience with frozen foods preferred
* Experience with identifying and executing margin improvement projects preferred.
* Familiarity with Sensory testing methods and test design.
* Excellent communication, influencing, project management and problem-solving skills
* Highly motivated and able to multi-task varying degrees of complex projects
* Willingness to travel up to 30%. Travel could include (but not limited to): to internal plants, co-manufacturers, and suppliers.

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$89,800.00 - $112,200.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

We are seeking a Research Associate in the Barth Laboratory here at CMU. Candidates should have experience with small animal surgery including stereotaxic brain injections, cranial window preparations for imaging, a background in bioinformatics and the ability to generate and manipulate large datasets, and familiarity with image analysis programs including ImageJ, Suite2P, and MatLab. Applicants should also be familiar with histological preparation of brain samples for immunohistochemistry and fluorescence microscopy analysis.

Uses a variety of software packages to input, manipulate, collect, and record results or observations.
Performs research experiments following experimental protocol and procedures. Researches and documents information by compiling and maintaining accurate and detailed records.

Identifies problems and obstacles to progress; develops strategies to solve problems.
May program software in support of job functions. Attends project meetings.
