What You Will Contribute:
JOB SUMMARY
The Customer Care Operations & Technical Training Specialist is responsible for enabling Customer Care and Technical Support teams through clear communication, effective technical training and documentation, and strong operational coordination, with a key focus on incident management communication and response enablement.
This role:
Supports the development, execution, and continuous improvement of incident management processes, including internal communication, notifications, and coordination across teams during service-impacting events.
Ensures training, communication, and operational guidance support compliance with internal standards, contractual obligations, and service requirements for Customer Care Operations.
Requires a strong ability to work directly with engineers, system owners, and technical subject-matter experts to extract undocumented knowledge, clarify decision logic, and translate complex technical information into practical training materials and operational guidance.
Ensures Customer Care teams are informed, prepared, and aligned during incidents through clear training, repeatable workflows, and timely communication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Training & Enablement
Design, deliver, and maintain training programs for Customer Care and Technical Support teams.
Translate technical systems, tools, and workflows into clear, engaging training content.
Utilize multiple training formats including live training, recorded sessions, video-based learning, job aids, and online training platforms.
Support onboarding and continuous enablement with updated, accessible training materials.
Partner with subject-matter experts to ensure training reflects real-world use cases.
Incident Management Enablement & Internal Communication
Design, implement, and evolve incident management communication workflows where formal processes and training do not currently exist.
Establish clear standards for internal notifications, escalation paths, roles, and communication expectations during service-impacting events.
Partner with Technical Support, Engineering, IT, Operations, Production, and leadership to define and document how incident communication should function, without serving as the owner of live incident response.
Develop and deliver training to ensure Customer Care teams understand when, how, and through which channels to communicate during incidents.
Ensure incident communication processes are repeatable, scalable, and aligned with internal standards, service requirements, and compliance expectations.
Support the administration, configuration, updates, and ongoing maintenance of the incident management platform, coordinating with IT and/or third-party vendors as needed.
Experience with incident management, alerting, or communication platforms is a strong plus.
Operational Standards & Quality Enablement
Create and maintain operational documentation that directly supports training, day-to-day execution, and incident response.
Ensure training materials and operational guidance clearly explain:
The systems, tools, and services Customer Care teams' support
The expected workflows, decision paths, and handoffs for daily work and incident scenarios
The standards for accuracy, consistency, and quality in execution
Keep materials current, easy to access, and clearly versioned across internal platforms such as SharePoint, online training tools, and knowledge bases.
Support the development and maintenance of knowledge base content, including content used for internal self-service and AI-driven support tools.
Continuously improve documentation and guidance based on feedback, operational changes, and identified gaps.
Cross-Functional Knowledge Extraction & Collaboration
Meet with engineers, technical specialists, and system owners to extract undocumented knowledge and workflows.
Engage subject-matter experts through thoughtful questioning to capture implicit knowledge and operational understanding.
Translate complex technical input from subject-matter experts into clear, actionable guidance for Customer Care teams.
Synthesize fragmented or complex information into clear training, documentation, and communication outputs.
Build trust with technical teams to become a go-to partner for capturing and sharing operational knowledge.
Project Execution & Operational Coordination
Lead operational initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring objectives, scope, and timelines are clearly defined.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and resources to drive progress and resolve dependencies.
Monitor execution, track milestones, and ensure deliverables are completed on time and to expectation.
Provide status updates and follow-through without requiring close supervision or day-to-day direction.
Operational Compliance & Standards
Develop and maintain training materials and operational guidance that support compliance with internal standards, service requirements, and contractual obligations.
Ensure Customer Care teams are trained on required processes and understand expectations during normal operations and incident scenarios.
Partner with leadership, Legal, Quality, IT, Operations and Engineering as needed to ensure materials remain accurate and compliant as processes evolve.
Support audit requests related to Customer Care operations by providing documentation, training records, and process explanations when required.
Continuous Improvement
Identify gaps in training, communication, and operational processes.
Use feedback, metrics, and observation to drive improvements.
Partner with leadership to evolve Customer Care enablement strategies.
Customer Care Operational Support & Overflow Coverage
Support broader Customer Care operational needs during overflow periods, peak volumes, or resource constraints, beyond Technical Support-specific responsibilities.
Provide training, guidance, and operational support to ensure consistent execution across Customer Care functions when overflow coverage is required.
Adapt priorities and focus areas as needed to support overall Customer Care performance during high-demand situations.
Coordinate with Customer Care leadership to align on expectations and scope during overflow scenarios.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Associate's Degree preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred in Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, Technical Training, or a related field.
Experience & Skills
3+ years of experience in technical training, Customer Care operations, Technical Support enablement, or operational training roles.
Experience running projects or initiatives end-to-end (formal project management certification a plus but not required).
Incident management and communication experience preferred.
Salesforce knowledge strongly preferred.
Experience with training platforms, video creation tools (e.g., Camtasia), and collaboration platforms.
Demonstrated ability to interview technical subject-matter experts and extract actionable information.
Strong facilitation, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into practical, understandable content.

Badger Meter is looking for a 1st shift Assembler in our Milwaukee Plant. This person will work in a clean, air-conditioned facility. We are willing to train for the right person!
This position is responsible for overall assembly process. General duties include building, assembling, testing, injection molding and packaging a variety of meters or meter reading technology products. You will be responsible for performing the various job functions as described below at an acceptable level of efficiency and quality. The work is completed through manual assembly, utilization of various specialty pieces of equipment, or automated machinery. Employees regularly rotate through various workstations within their home department and occasionally work in other areas of the facility depending on workload and customer orders. Responsible for observing safe work habits and maintaining cleanliness of work area
Major Job Duties/Accountability:
Perform a variety of operations such as assembly of meters, leak testing, meter testing, and packaging of meter products while following safety guidelines
Assemble products, following work instructions ensuring the highest quality products, meeting company product standards, production goals, and customer specifications and delivery requirements
Set up and operate meter accuracy and leak test equipment to determine acceptability of product
Operate computer to check schedules, obtain part drawings, set up work procedures and update manufacturing status of jobs
Work from dispatch lists or production schedules to obtain required daily output
Perform a variety of tasks such as operation of plastic injection molding machines and perform secondary operations to molded parts such as degating, sprue removal and drilling
May operate and tend to multiple machines simultaneously

Job Duties:
Manage and optimize the planning data (forecast analysis and accuracy, efficient production scheduling of jobs on the manufacturing floor, and maintenance optimum inventory and production levels to support sales forecast and customer orders).
Manage and optimize inventory practices (inventory reduction/optimization, inventory accuracy and cycle counting, etc).
Maintain internal control system and compliance with corporate ISO procedures and training.
Support the phase-in and phase-out of product families (managing the elimination of excess, slow moving, or obsolete inventory).
Work with Bid/Proposal Department, Sales, Customer Service, and production sites in reviewing customer contract delivery schedules, develop production schedules to support large customer projects, and provide delivery dates for current or expected customer requirements.
Interface with material planners at other manufacturing sites to ensure timely flow of materials where required.
Account for materials required to build manufacturing orders by reviewing reports, communicating part shortages, and expediting to meet customer due dates.
Lead and proactively participate in the review of missed shipments to determine root causes to prevent recurrence and monitors ERP systems to proactively identify and correct production issues caused by incorrect data, systems issues, and dramatic swings in customer demands.
Provide ERP system training, leadership, direction, and training to the planning team.
Oversee cycle count process ensuring responsible items are counted properly according to classification and accuracy level is consistently met per corporate policy.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in production and inventory control or related field preferred
7+ years of related experience in materials, production control, purchasing, or inventory control desired
Qualifications:
Advanced skills in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system required
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
APICS (American Production Inventory Control Society) certification preferred
CRM (Certified Risk Manager) certification preferred

What You Will Contribute:
The Mold Tooling Engineer will facilitate the fabrication of injection molding tools for plastic injection molding. This position will include conceptual design of tooling, project management of tooling fabrication, and implementation of tooling into the manufacturing processes. This position will also be responsible for the following accountabilities:
Design manufacturing tools, including: Injection molding tools for plastic injection molding (both single and multiple cavities) of highly engineered plastic parts and design fixtures and jigs
Oversee tooling projects from conception through production start-up.
Work with tooling suppliers on schedules and project implementation.
Review product designs and make recommendations on tooling projects to ensure manufacturability, efficiency, and cost-savings.
Participate in tool design reviews.
Evaluate part design for manufacturability using Mold Flow Analysis to evaluate mold filling, mold cooling and warpage analysis, and in molded stress analysis. Work with mechanical engineering to optimize part design
Oversee all record retention for tooling. This will include required follow-up on action items resulting from preliminary mold designs through production startups. This encompasses both internally designed and built tooling along with all sub-contracted work.
Monitor construction of injection molds.
Implement tooling modifications and improvements.
Qualifications:
Journeyman Mold maker and or Bachelor's degree in technical related field preferred
5+ years tool and mold design experience in the injection molding field
Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling software - preferably Creo desired
Project management of tooling fabrication desired
Design of production fixtures, gages, and other related tooling
Working Conditions:

What You Will Contribute:
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Strategic and Tactical initiatives within Badger Meter to support changing business needs. You will assist the Strategic Sourcing Manager with managing vendor relationships, new product development, project implementation, process efficiencies, implementing sourcing strategies, finding new suppliers, and evaluating current suppliers. This role may have direct buying responsibilities of commodities as the procurement department requires. The work performed in this role will support all Safety, Quality, On-time Delivery, Cost, and Continuous improvement activities to achieve Badger Meter's corporate goals.
Job Duties:
Drive proactive involvement in all functional activities related to sourcing (attending project meetings, working with appropriate individuals to understand new part requirements, etc).
Review and evaluate supply base by commodity to identify optimal sources for Badger Meter while consolidating to align with strong supply partners.
Evaluate and analyze supplier capabilities to determine best overall value and recommend suppliers for development of new or improvements to existing products to the Project Teams.
Perform on-site supplier evaluation visits to assist in the recommendation process.
Analyze and schedule material purchases utilizing Badger Meter's ERP system and tools.
Set planning parameters and issue PO's to support production requirements (optimizing the process to maintain short lead-times, low inventory, yet supplying required materials in a timely manner, etc).
Support Procurement Department in necessary metric reporting or any other required procedure in the department (supplier performance reports, supplier risk analysis reports, supplier capacity reviews, supplier quality certification status, on-time delivery reporting, ppm analysis, etc).
Up to 15% travel required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred

What You Will Contribute:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Solution Architect leads the development and execution of enterprise-wide BI strategies, delivering scalable reporting and analytics solutions. Partners with stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights and promote best practices in visualization and self-service analytics. Supports ERP implementation by ensuring data integrity, enabling master data migration, and designing the post-ERP reporting layer.
Job Duties:
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable BI solutions to support enterprise-wide reporting and analytics.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights through data visualization and reporting.
Define and promote best practices for dashboard development, data storytelling, and self-service analytics.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related field is required
5+ years of experience in BI Development, Data Architecture and/or Database administration is strongly desired
Qualifications:
Proficiency in BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, of Qlik and strong SQL skills.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and data migration projects.
Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance frameworks.

We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Business Partner to pioneer HR support at our expanding production site in Racine. Reads and follows specifications and other instructions in order to build and assemble products and examining completed work to detect defects and verify conformance to work orders, correct any problems
Provide a thorough technical understanding of production and assembly practices.

Acts as liaison, representing the team in general; point of contact for general assembly and quality control questions
Trains new employees and instructs employees on the proper use of equipment and tools

Education and Experience:

What You Will Contribute:
The Sr. Project Lead is primarily responsible for the successful completion of multiple mid to highly complex projects with minimal supervision. Individuals in this position will provide expert project management to satisfy scope, budget and schedule for assigned projects. This position provides leadership for project planning, project oversight, facilitation, escalation of project issues and support for project team members across the organization. Job Duties:
* Maintain an effective product planning process to ensure meeting a minimum 90% of company-defined target metrics relative to product schedules, product and project costs.
* Drive cross-functional team members through successful risk mitigation tools and techniques to remove barriers to success and maintain original project release schedules.
* Provide updates to the Priority Project Status Report on a timely basis.
* Assess financial viability of a product as well as mitigation of financial risks (either associated with development or delays).
* Manage projects to comply with requirements of the ISO 9008 Standard.
* Develop & Maintain Project Burn Down Charts.
* Assist Product Owner(s) in developing and maintaining the Project Backlog and assist in obtaining, managing and supporting relevant stakeholder buy-in.
* Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Project Management department (process and value stream mapping, standard operating procedure (SOP) evaluation and development, creation, implementation, maintenance of comprehensive project documentation, etc).
* Conduct Project postmortems to create and disseminate report outs relative to successful and unsuccessful completed project elements (product cost, budget, timeline, otherwise).
* Assist in the development of phase gate and milestone achievement metrics (Key Performance Indicators).
* Up to 15% travel required.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
* 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, Workflow Management or Continuous Improvement desired
Qualifications:
* PMP certification preferred
* Ability to lead a cross-functional team through 5-7 NPD, Process, Capitalization or Acquisition projects without a direct reporting structure from product conceptualization through release for sale in a high-volume product manufacturing corporation required

* Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software required

What You Will Contribute:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for advanced product research and support of mechanical and flow technologies. This includes exploration and implementation of other engineering disciplines for developing new products, enhancing existing products, or sustaining current product offerings. The Senior Engineer has direct responsibilities for the technical nature and content of the design as well as the quality, reliability, and verification. The Senior Engineer ensures all products are designed for manufacturability and assembly. This position also involves comprehensive testing, test plans, and interfacing with customers.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will work with internal disciplines including Marketing, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality to meet project deliverables. Project deliverables satisfy marketing and technical design criteria that achieve the project schedule, project budget, and product cost.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Create, execute, and document verification test plans to ensure products meet design, market and customer requirements. Create or direct the creation of Test Specifications to be used by Badger Meter Quality and Manufacturing departments to ensure that product is adequately tested prior to shipment to customers.
Coordinate testing with test labs when certified results are needed. These include but are not limited to, CE, NSF, UL, FM, and Intrinsic Safety.
Partner with purchasing and manufacturing engineering to determine product costs. Make design changes to reduce cost based on input from purchasing and manufacturing engineering.
Work with engineering documentation group to release newly developed products. Create or direct the creation of Product Specifications based on results of verification testing. This document with the Design Specification is used to create installation briefs, technical briefs, and other marketing documentation.
Ensure that germane new concepts are known, investigated, reviewed, and recommended for evaluation and consideration by management for new and existing products.
Work closely with Designers to develop innovative new products. Create or direct the creation of Design specifications to meet the market requirements as laid out in the Marketing Specification. Include manufacturing in the design process to assure new products are compatible with Badger Meter's production processes.
Work with Project Managers to develop project timelines and documentation including design, test and product specifications, and cost estimates.
Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service departments to support existing customers and upcoming bids. Provide product return support and analysis including field troubleshooting. Work with customer support, quality, and sales to diagnose claims.
Mentor and coach technical staff, providing technical or procedural assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ or more years of related experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering required
Intermediate experience with FEA and 3D Modeling.
Basic experience with LabView, MatLab, and CFD.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. (Preferred)

* Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
* Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic software development practices.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Experience with data engineering tools (e.g. pandas, polars, SQL) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
* Experience with creating, tuning, deploying, and assessing machine learning algorithms
* Experience working with time series datasets and techniques, including feature extraction, anomaly detection, forecasting, and pattern recognition in temporal datasets. - preferred
* Familiarity with data acquisition and analysis from manufactured products, including IoT-enabled devices, embedded systems, or production line equipment- preferred
