SUMMARYSets up, operates, adjusts and maintains printing press to maintain required quality and quantity of production by performing the following duties. Possesses the comprehension/ability to perform job satisfactorily.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Adheres to paperwork information per customer specs· Accurately follows job bag information for each customer· Correctly figures out needs for jobs being run using basic math skills· Precisely inputs production information into the manufacturing software following work instructions and using basic computer knowledge· Uses Press Sign software or densitometer to check color density· Completes board non-conformances when needed2. Sets up printer in a timely matter for printing of folded cartons· Selects and mounts proper printing plate for job· Fills ink fountains with appropriate color(s) and adjusts rate of flow of ink for quality printing in a timely fashion to meet customer specs· Makes ink accurately and efficiently as needed.3. Runs job for production and follows job speed specs· Starts and runs the printing press efficiently· Constantly monitors job run for accuracy and clarity of printing· Adjusts settings to ink viscosity; or shuts down press and makes adjustments so that the quality is to customer or standard specs· Monitors viscosity of coating as needed and adjusts accordingly· Removes stock from delivery after printing· Troubleshoots quality problems involving supervisor when needed4.
