Job Description The Sanding and Robot Operator - 3rd Shift position sets up, operates and maintains multiple robotic sanding cells as trained and instructed to meet or exceed defined production targets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned) Operates multiple robotic sanding cells with the loading and unloading of helmets to maximize robot time sanding while also ensuring quality. Identify helmet models to be sanded and correctly set the machine fixturing to ensure quality sanding. Load and unload helmets from the fixturing proplerly. ABOUT THE ROLE This position directly reports to the various quarry supervisors. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. Primary responsibilities include assisting in production functions and maintenance. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Prioritizes SAFETY, then QUALITY, followed by PRODUCTION * Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times * Actively support key safety initiatives at the facility and assist as needed to improve EHS * Ensure all work areas and equipment are clean, tidy and organized at all times * Trains and coaches other employees when needed * Utilizes mobile equipment including, but not limited to: • Haul truck up to and including 90 ton Grader • Track dozer • Blast hole driller • Front end loader (962G, 980, 988,IT28, 992G 992) * Other duties as assigned on various shifts/schedules * Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify, load and scan all batches Load parts in autoclaves baskets using specific orientation per the PEI. Load and unload baskets in autoclaves using crane and torque wrench. Start, Drain and stop autoclave vessels. React per SOP to alarm conditions and contact necessary personnel based on specific alarms. Place autoclave baskets in holding tank for Washout personnel. Assist Washout with timely turnaround. Verification of parts to paperwork. Must wear required PPE at all times. Autoclave traceability maintained through paperwork verification. Record information in Lot Control. Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures. Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervision. QUALIFICATIONS: Must pay close attention to detail Must show ability to follow detailed procedures reliably. Be able to meet daily production goals. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to be self-directed and motivated. Capable of handling multiple tasks. Demonstrate proficiency of applicable procedure instructions. REQUIREMENTS: Meet or exceed defined visual acuity (when required) Meet color perception standards needed in performance of job requirements (when required). Certification and completion of written exam in accordance with the SOP. Additional training to comply with applicable SOP/Certifications (when required).
